Lafourche Gazette Article

Whats not told in article that is being said locally:
1. Dad was upset kid didn’t pitch in State Championship Game (Starter went all 5 innings in a mercy rule game)

2. Dad went try to start shite right after the team dog piled and raised the trophy.

3. Dad goes to summer team tryouts yesterday and punches the coach.

If any of those accusations are remotely true this Dad needs to be made an example of or parents will feel like they have free reign to act this way. Absolutely sickening.

At that level. You play to win the game. Especially the biggest game of most of these kids’ lives.

Parent is a POS no doubt.

I’ll laugh if the kid wasn’t even a senior or wasn’t even particularly good

Kid was a senior. #2 pitcher from what I hear but the #1 pitched the whole game.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I completely understand why the kid and dad would have been disappointed. But you don’t argue over your kid’s playing time with the coach.

I would think it’s a dad that financially supported the program and expected that to translate into some consideration

It happens everywhere

The only situation that could arise is a blowout either way and the kid not participate at all to make a man do something that stupid

The game got moved from Friday to Sunday. The kid would have pitched on the Friday, when the game got moved it gave the other pitcher time and he was ready to go Sunday.

You don't think #1 deserved the ball? What a joke you are.

Did the #2 centerfielder replace the starter?

#2 means just that, he wasn't the #1. #1 earned it and deserved it.

You're a pussy saying anything else

A dad is mad a kid didn’t pitch in a game they….won? A State title game, no less.

Nice job tarnishing one of the most memorable experiences of your child’s life, dipshit.

You are a dumbass. He said he understood the disappointment…not that the #2 should have started …or that the father was justified in his actions.

When travel ball became Daddy Ball it began to normalize this behavior.

100 percent chance this wasn’t first time pops went after a coach.
