The first round of these playoffs are going to be unwatchable and uncompetitive. The only decent game will be watching Miami expose A&M as fraudulent.

shoulda expanded to 8 and that is it
if you keep this shite at 12 you need BCS computer polls again plus the quality win metric and no auto bids for anybody and just shitcan the conference title games.

Much to my chagrin I think TAMU is going to boat race Miami.
It may be close for a quarter, maybe even a half (like us) and then it will be ugly.

I think we will get the evidence that 12 is too much, maybe they will go to 8 if these games go the way they likely will.

They will never contract the number of teams. If anything they will continue to increase it because of the money.
I’ve always hated the playoff outside of top 4 and I even hate that. Bring back the BCS 1 v 2

I don’t disagree but conferences and ND will never agree to a system without guarantees.
Hell, since I’ve long been told that non-playoff bowl games are “meaningless” and now it seems that conference title games are also “meaningless”, let’s get rid of all of them and just go to a 16 team playoff with no tie-ins. Top 16 in final rankings get in. Everyone else’s season is over. Then we don’t have to read about how unwatchable the meaningless bowl games are.

Should have always done top 6 conference champions and used the BCS computer to seed them. Top 2 seeds get a bye. Seeds 3 and 4 get home games in the first round.
Neutral sites for semi-finals and NCG.
Make conferences responsible for how they crown their champion.
If play as an independent you are ineligible as you have to be a conference champion.
