"Orioles chairman and CEO John Angelos disputes accusations he'll relocate team, says franchise will 'never leave' Baltimore"

Anyone living in Tennessee hearing anything about this? Are you wanting the Orioles to move to Tennessee?

Nashville doesn't care about its NFL team.

Why give it a major league baseball team?

Sounds like family infighting/mudslinging.

I’d like to see it just to see Baloo reappear and give us a wall of text using unnecessary words thinking he works for the Baltimore Sun.

Local radio around here saying it doesn't sound good for the O's staying in Baltimore.

Lease is up next year, but don't expect anything to happen until the owner dies.

The only attractive city to move to is Las Vegas and the A’s are running there

Cant imagine Nashville the city of transplants would support it

Same for Charlotte or Raleigh Durham

I'm a huge Os fan and love Camden Yards.

But even I would laugh so hard at this.

What are you talking about?

Finished 12th in the league in average attendance at a 99.2% fill rate.

The stadium just sucks and is small. When the dome comes it will be great.

30,000 seat soccer stadium is sold out, Bridgestone is always sold out.

Sounds games are always packed too. Everyone is always looking to get drunk and be seen at sporting events in Nashville, baseball would be no different.

You're close to the water at Camden Yards, odds are you're totally fine.

Rule of thumb in Baltimore has the same steps as the Jeff Fisher coaching philosophy:

Can you see the water? If yes, you're good. If no, go until you see the water. If you're not sure, don't jump in the water - bullets are safer.

Nashville is pushing HARD for a MLB franchise. The city had a plan and renderings for a proposed stadium right on the river. There will be franchisees in both Nashville and Vegas. Both cities will be premier destinations for visiting fans. 3-4 game series over a weekend in either city will draw thousands of visiting fans.

Nashville MLB Stadium Proposal.

With a proposal like this out there, many MLB fan bases should be worried that their favorite team could relocate there. That kind of proposal puts a lot of pressure on franchises that have aging stadiums and attendance problems....Baltimore, Cleveland, Tampa, Oakland...Expansion? Manfred did say that future expansion isn't off the table.

Also in the article, it sounds like Maryland is committed to the O’s

quote:

In the statement, John Angelos noted that the Maryland General Assembly recently passed a bill allocating $1.2 billion into reinvesting and reimagining the Camden Yards Sports Complex, which includes Oriole Park, and that commitment strengthened his resolve to keep the Orioles in Maryland.
