I think something like this might make the "general" balance of power a bit better. Nothings 100% perfect but I think this is a little more historically fair for everyone.

WEST
Frontier
Aggy
Texas
OU
Mizzou

River
Arky
LSU
Ole Miss
Miss st

East
Central
UK
Vandy
Bama
Auburn

Coastal
Tennessee
SC
Georgia
Florida

Play all 3 in your pod (3 games)
1 locked rival from each pod (3 games)
1 Rotated game from each pod (3 games)

If you want to be really adventurous and go for a 10 game schedule have the last week before conference titles be a "pod championship" and do 1 v 1, 2 v 2, etc. of cross pod games in the same division.

Should set up to play the entire conference every 3 years.

So 2024 LSU might (for example) look like

(Yearly)
Arky
Miss St
Ole Miss
Aggy
Bama/Auburn
Florida
(Rotated Games)
Mizzou
Vandy
Tennessee

What about this idea of keeping the West/East and just moving the two Bama schools into the East?

Yeah that's not terrible

Competitively amongst each other, big 12 won't be bad in football, and it's still a good basketball conference.

The main issue is there's zero "prestige" amongst the football programs.

The SEC is just the Confederate States and Territories. Big XII needs try to add Arizona and Arizona St. as well as Colorado back. Pac 12 needs to bring in what’s left of the Mountain West.
