OSU could have literally done that all 2nd half with their wrs and won this game 52-17 instead of this even being a game.

You could see his team mentally check out up 24. The gameplan just reinforced that behavior.
ND doesn't have the athletes to keep up with you, and by going conservative, you just play right into their only hope of staying on the field with you.
The defensive gameplan wasn't all that different either, imo. Denbrock just stopped calling QB draws and let Leonard throw it a bit.

Yep, really surprised they went with that defense since they had been torched all game in man coverage and none of their blitzes have gotten home all game. If there was ever a situation to rush 3 and drop 8 that was it.
