I guess the answer to that would be that WM's opponents won more games than Barbe's. Doesn't mean much of anything other than that.

those kids go to STM and Teurlings and some to southside. ones outside the city though like youngsville mainly got STM

How is Barbe not the 1 seed? They are top 3 in the country and are 33-1 with a 290-run differential.

their district is really really top heavy. hurt them.

How bad is Lafayette at baseball now? They used to be one of the top programs every single year.

That's what's going to happen to Dutchtown, St Amant and to some degree EA when the new school opens.

What happened to Brusly? Saw they aren't allowed to be in playoffs.

There’s no doubt about it. Something that I’ve had in the back of my mind since they’ve started to break ground on the new school. I wonder who will be impacted more though, Dutchtown or St. Amant? Dutchtown losing Prairieville Middle and St. Amant will lose Galvez Middle. Shoot, Prairieville could become the best athletic school in the parish whenever it opens up.

Just in the last two seasons, Prairieville would have had more talent than Dutchtown or St Amant.

They would have also pulled a couple of starters from EA that would have been competing for playing time.

Because WM’s schedule other than 2 forced district opponents and Airline, traditionally a very good team, had a winning record and 99% of them won 20+ games.

by that same token why should you suffer by playing those teams?

It’s an imperfect solution. Either districts matter or they don’t. At this point why not let everyone go independent with schedules? Or go back to bi district. LHSAA needs to figure out something. Current setup ain’t it.

Maybe in the upper division. Not so much in DIV.

Only 4 non-select schools would make the select bracket. OG at 7, the other 3 would be 18-20

We should do more to make them matter

Districts to the LHSAA are like divisions in the NFL or conferences in college football
