Not insecure at all. Have hated it since the participation movement started trying to cram it down our throats decades ago. It is more of an activity than a sport.

Can anyone imagine the two semi-final losers of the College Football Playoffs squaring off to play for third?

Isn't this why college football has problems figuring out champions and shite? Because they leave it up to computers to calculate who is going to make it? Polls are just arbitrary guesses.

So I'm not sure bitching that soccer actually plays it out on the field is a road you want to go down.

Offsides is a stupid fricking rule and should be abolished, just like in Hockey

Why is offside a worse rule in hockey and soccer than it is in football?

Then everyone just full kicks the length of the field and it no longer resembles a sport

defenders are allowed to stay back and defend their man correct? What's the problem. It opens up the whole field and you dont get 90 mins of back passing and 0-0 until penalty kicks

oh i don't know...allowing a huge DE to destroy the QB before the ball is even snapped seems kinda stupid

Allowing a fast offensive player to get behind the defense then become ineligible to play the ball/puck reduces the playing field to a phone booth around the ball/puck

Yet another reason, whomever gets fouled should be the player that has to kick the penalty kick. Messi just scored on a penalty kick when a different player drew the foul. How in the hell is this a rule?

Except for TYler Adams and a paltry few others it is the most anti american collection of athletes and coaches.

I'm giving soccer a try this morning. I cannot stand these dudes rolling around on the ground like they just got shot each time they get touched. They make lebron look like a tough guy, and I thought that was impossible

Well there isnt offsides in football. In fact, the ENTIRE point of the game is to try to slip someone behind the defense in an offensive manner to score.

But I know you have to be able to comprehend this before you asked it, are you a Russian bot?

I don’t mind soccer; I don’t go out of my way to watch it either though. The people that obnoxiously push it do bother me.

Baseball has a ton more scoring than soccer. It’s not even close. If baseball was like soccer a 3-2 game would be high scoring. Every batter has a chance to score on every pitch. In soccer they run around in the middle of the field not remotely close to scoring. The two are not even remotely similar.

Soccer is the barometer of the strength of a country. All these half arse countries like France and Argentina, good at soccer suck as a country. The decline of America coincides with its emphasis on soccer. It produces weak, over dramatic men.

so pick a team playing on a different continent in a city that I have no personal ties to? Sounds great

I did. The way I did it was to watch a weekly highlight show. That way, all you see are goals, great assists, great saves, etc. Then you pick out a player or two you like. Then follow their teams, and soon enough, you have a rooting interest.

Brandon is about to make soccer teams better in the US with the 5 million New Democrats he’s imported.

My only complaint is the flopping. You shouldn’t be awarded for faking an injury.
