I don't think they should. OSU will win big.

I personally have PSU in the same breath as UGA/UF/Auburn/Oregon/OU. I think those are the 5-12 range type teams.

I think I would take PSU head to head against UF/Auburn/Oregon and probably take UGA and OU

So I kind of agree with you, but think if OSU takes them to the woodshed, then it may be enough to get OSU #1 and keeping them there with a top 15 Michigan and a top 15ish team in the B1G title game

Michigan won't be too 15 when they play OSU. They will choke against MSU and that means 3 losses. Plus you guys are gonna do the same thing to them this year as last year.

Top 5
1. Ohio State
2. LSU
3. Alabama
4. Ohio State
5. Clemson

The computers love Ohio State so much that they are granting them a scrimmage for the first round of the playoff.

I'm interested in how the slot Ohio State with LSU and Clemson with PSU.

I think Bama is squarely at 3.

Clemson at 5 would be a massive tell from the committee.

But 3 loss teams are often in the top 15, depending on whom they lose to. I don't think Michigan is that good this year, but after you get through the top 5-7, there is a drop off, then after like the top 12, I would almost call it a chasm.

For example, in the AP poll, would you take Minny (#13) or Kansas St (#20)? I don't think there is much difference in everyone after 12 or so.

Yeah LSU and OSU will be 1 and 2 period. The order is debatable, but I think it's OSU at number 1 for now.

Shouldn’t even number the top 4. Just release

Top 4: LSU/Bama/OSU/Clemson

5. PSU

Why wouldn't you want more transparency on an already flawed process?

Going to be interesting where they settle out. Oregon is the computer favorite. Actually, Oregon, Auburn, and Utah are higher than Georgia in the computers only.

I agree...maybe swap 4 and 5, but you nailed the top 3.

They rarely deviate from the AP poll, so I'll say LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and Penn State.

Pretty sure they do a lot in the early rankings.

Regardles, it'll be:

1. OSU/LSU
2. OSU/LSU
3. Bama
4. Clemson/PSU
5. Clemson/PSU

If I could actually bet on it being one of those scenarios I would

I’d bet a lot on them putting Clemson at 5 if I could. It’s a zero downside thing to show the viewership they’re paying attention and gain some credibility

Everyone is very confident in Bama being 3, but if they go by schedule wouldn't PSU be ahead of Bama? They have a win over Michigan and a road win @ Iowa.

Maybe this shakes out a bit differently than we think. Who knows as said it doesn't really matter now. If PSU is ahead of Bama now, would add more pressure for them to win this weekend though

is any of that data skewed since those teams have played 9 games and georgia has only played 8? everyone keeps telling me no to that question and i still don't believe them. if georgia beats missouri this weekend, for instance, while oregon sits idle, what happens in the computer polls?

anyway, i see no reason why georgia shouldn't be 6, and i am fairly confident they will be.
