Actually they play in two countries.

Nba doesn’t even use ‘world champions’ anymore.

He makes an extremely valid point.
no he doesn’t because the NBA doesn’t use world champions.

I like how he rustled all the soft NBA players so I’m on his side.

Don’t see to many world champion chants in soccer where there is no definitive best league coupled with international competitions in the sport represented by countries..

In soccer it’s the World Cup winner

But yeah it shouldn’t be that controversial, unless someone thinks a Euroleague or Chinese team could beat Denver in a best of 7

Even when someone is throwing shade, Canada is still ignored.

For the NFL I always thought that was just Chris Berman being Chris Berman. Who else does that?

He's right in a way; but it's also the dictionary definition of being pedantic and blatantly ignoring critical factors.

Sure, the NBA is a domestic league for the most part. So, if you're looking for absolute literal accuracy he might be right, but you have to ignore the fact that the worlds best players, by far, are all concentrated into that league.

There's no doubt that the Nuggets this years would handily beat any team in the world, professional or national, but they can't prove that.

He's factually correct, but his premise is moronic.

This, that's it. Not sure why this needs multiple pages, but this is the one right here.

Obvious NBA/MLB/NFL are the highest level and internationally represented, but I always thought it was stupid these teams were called "world champions" - so I'm on this guy's side

NBA/MLB/NFL champs would dominate the ever living frick out of the champs of every other league.

They had the McDonald's Open where the NBA Champions played against the Euroleague champions and other continents' champions back in the 90s, but it was discontinued because of FIBA and the Euroleague losing their partnership. The NBA and Stern was all for it though. I'd definitely like to see them return it.

Funnily enough, the NBA champion won every edition.
