I don’t think he would be bad if they decided to step aside, but it should clearly be their choice. I wouldn’t be shocked if Jack stopped doing it, but Gary would never ever step away from that spotlight

And Phil has no chance to be invited into that spot

This. Snead was 90 when he stepped away. It's one of the few times they probably get out and about each year (Jack is 86).

Not sure Phil has no chance, but it would be ten or so years down the road, minimum, after he no longer can play (65 being the limit). I assume they'd ask/kind of pressure Faldo to replace someone, but he likes to be a bit prickish about things. Maybe Langer can/would be invited. They've got a coupole at two wins.

They should be bigger legends than that

Oh, that's a great idea. Had not thought of that. Who would that be?

The next to replace one of these three will be Ben Crenshaw, two time winner and beloved at Augusta National.

In five years, probably Watson, Crenshaw and Faldo. If they lost one of them early, they might get Langher, Ollie or (yes, he only has one but he'd be a popular choice) Freddie.

Tiger and Phil would be next if Phil hasn't burned too many more bridges in the meantime.

Call me old fashioned but i think golf is actually better off not kicking Jack Nicklaus to the curb

I’ve got a great idea, let’s let zany Pat Macafee and Jason Kelce do it! They can even be shirtless it would be so funny

Next year Snoop Dogg will be on the broadcast & Hawk Tuah doing a podcast from Butler Cabin.

The only worthy player between Nicklaus and Tiger is Tom Watson, maybe

Augusta is on of the courses he never did well at. Too many side hill lies.

Trevino's main problem at Augusta was that he had a lower ball flight than some of the other greats.

He still could have won there. iirc, he was the 36 hole leader back in '78.

He also detested Clifford Roberts.

sadly, he may not be here by the next Masters. He looked rough on the tee and really bad on the commercial I saw him in.

Wrong.

It was Snead that hit the shot that nearly hurt someone.
