Bucs down to 2 TOs. 4:37 left.
This is exciting TV

Right decision to go for 2.
Hate the fade but it was a shite throw - Evans had him beat easily.

Missing the 2pt conversion kills any momentum your team had. Lowers the pressure on the Lions. Hate that decision, hate it.

7 points vs. 8 points doesn’t affect the Lions at all. They’re still in the same exact position either way.

Puts extra pressure on the team to have to convert a 2 point conversion if they score again. It’s already a tough situation being down 2 TDs prior to that score. Kick the XP now, make a decision at the end whether to tie it or go for the win if you manage to score again
Not surprising many in this board don’t under math.

The math says go for 2
This is football not a math quiz. Football winning logic says don't frick yourself by going for 2 too early.

Going for two is egg-headed analytics bullshite.

Well I stand corrected I just figured TB is at the lions mercy and needs to simply survive.

75 yards in 1:45. Tough sequence for Tampa D.

Keep running the clock boys

Explain how they lost any hope they had.
How about you lick my a-hole instead, I am not spoon feeding you shite.
It’s playing out on the field

Why not wait and go for 2 “if” they get another TD?
Because then you either win or lose by making it at the end.
The Bucs haven’t lost by missing it.

By going for it on the first TD now you still go to OT if you get it the 2nd time rather than losing. If they made the first attempt game would be over if they score a second TD and would win.

So you can’t explain it.

How is it any different down 7 instead of 8?

I don’t get it in this scenario though
It's pretty simple. You need to score another TD either way. Under that condition and assuming 50% 2pt rate and 100% pat, the possibilities are.....
25% miss miss
25% miss make
50% make kick PAT.
The second 25% leads to OT. So 50% chance of winning in regulation, 25% of losing in regulation, 25% of overtime.
