NFL wants the sport to catch on globally so badly. it'll never happen.

It would be fun to see those cities get tied together. Most NFL cities have established relationships with foreign cities. I just looked up Atlanta and there are a ton of options. I'm not sure which one would be the best fit. Athens, Greece seems like a good pair.

They should probably try not to group them together too much. Only so many in Europe, try to get some in south America, Canada and the Far East. How cool would it be to be paired with Auckland?

Still brutal travel even from the west coast. 15 hour direct flights, just kills you. The quality of play in these games is going to be awful, way worse than the London games.

I guess they can play a early 10 AM local kickoff so it can be shown at 7 pm here

Don't they have enough money by now? Don't they have enough worldwide fans? Why have a game in Australia?

Or they can play it at 8 pm their time and it will air at 7 am on the East Coast. The London games usually start at 8 am anyways so what’s an hour earlier?

So they should never try to grow revenue and just stay stagnant?

Is this a real question?

Ok, another International game I don't watch. Add it to Amazon and Peacock

I'd imagine the teams would arrive a couple of days earlier in Australia than London to make up for that shitty plane ride.

That makes it make less sense to me.
Australia already has a very popular football-like sport unlike England
Football to an Englander is an unusual foreign spectacle
Football to an Australian is a crappier version of what they already have

The NFL is already pretty big in Australia. They aren't starting from scratch there. Lots of dual NFL / AFL or rugby fans.

The game would be an instant sell-out and major spectacle there.

Jet lag to and from Australia is brutal. I don't know how you get around that without scheduling byes before and after the game.

So they schedule a bye before or after them. These are elite athletes who play a game for a living. They aren’t Ronnie Thibodeaux with a beer gut and a single wide.

Kickoff at 10am local would be a evening game in the U.S. so I guess it could work.
Would be hell to adjust the body to the jetlag.
