This is huge news. This reduces his value greatly. In the last 10 NFL draft classes, only ONE defense linemen recorded a sack that has less than 31” arms. The numbers don’t lie. Someone is gonna waste a 1st round pick on this guy and I hope it’s not my team. Less than 31” is crazy short. Most NFL teams don’t even look at you if you aren’t at least 33” and based on the numbers, you can see why. It almost never works out. You gotta have arm length in the NFL to be effective as a D-lineman. Period. CFB and high school, you can get away with it. Not the NFL.

I want picks up front on both sides of the ball. We need to get tougher. The Fins have been too soft too long

Early favorite to slide in the draft and then everyone wonder how the Eagles ended up with another steal...

Agreed, but I thought they did a decent job of this last year personnel wise, and the o-line actually developed into something decent. We are in the position where we need to take BPA no matter what position it is, fill in the big uglies in round 2 and 3.

Whomever we pick for OL I want the "Comparable player" to be Richie Incognito or Conrad Dobler. I don't want a technician. I want someone we have to bail out of jail Saturday night for Sunday's game. Someone who leads the league in fines, but is a mauler at the point of attack.

@grok
what NFL players with arm length under 31 inches have gotten 10+ sacks in a season?

@grok
·

None found in NFL history with verified under-31" arms hitting 10+ sacks in a season. Top sack producers (like the 2025 chart) and 100-sack career guys all measure 32"+. Leverage edge is real for disengaging blockers—technique helps but rarely overcomes that gap at elite levels.

What is that measurement? 35.01 inches for Garrett and 30.07 inches for Bain? Why is it listed like that?

If he's sitting there at #11 I would not be opposed to the Fins grabbing him.

Would be a great fit for player and team.

Bain staying in Miami and balling out would be cool. Could see the Dolphins being pretty good in a few years if they do the right thing and REALLY stink it up this year to get the #1 QB in 2027 Draft

Bain Jr was a guy I was hoping the Chiefs would get but I think they should pass on him now if he's still there at 9. We never draft this high and we can't afford a miss. I'm now hoping Tate the WR is there or an OT I could see us taking Faulk the DE from Auburn he fits what our DC Spags looks for setting the edge.

LOL if anyone still puts stock in these silly measurements and underwear Olympics over actual production on tape they shouldn’t be scouts.
