OKC almost matching the points of both Boston and NY before halftime is insane.

I just started keeping up with NBA playoffs really close this season.
Is this common where these teams are up by 15-20 points in the late 3rd/4th quarters and end up losing? Seems like it’s happened a lot this year

I think so, they not winning this one. Went 7 in the first series, already got the split, give them the extra rest.

They had Robinson on Tatum on the last play by Boston, and really that was a bad move because Robinson is too slow to stay with Tatum which is why he went right by him the previous play for a dunk to put Boston up. Anyways, Tatum gets the ball and again has Robinson stumbling trying to guard him, but instead of pulling up by the free throw line and shooting an uncontested jumper, this knucklehead continues driving right into a double team and gets easily blocked by Bridges.

Looked like Tatum was stumbling… you call Mitch slow but he got “long-arse arms” and enough footwork to recover.

That’s a good point. They are a young solid team..

Scott Foster is back and there have been 35 free throws in the first half. Someone needs to hurt him again.

I’m sticking with my take that the first game woke something up in them. If they had won a close game on Monday I don’t think we get this performance tonight.

Denver is clearly drained physically from their previous series. It showed in game 1 throughout, which makes that win even more impressive.

I think their legs are just shot, and in this game, they are just phoning it in, knowing they got home-court advantage already with the game 1 win. Add in that OKC can't seem to miss, and this is the game where you just burn the tape and accept it was a combination of things just way out of their control.

I think this game goes at least 6 games, and I still think Denver has a good shot to win it.

I agree completely. All my friends are back on the OKC in 5 train. Seems way too premature lol.

I do think we beat Denver in six, but they still have home court and they still have an experienced core. Just feels way too early to write them off.

You know OKC has dominated the series outside of like 2 minutes. If Russ is your 2nd option in 2025 you’re screwed. They’ll be fortunate to win another game
