Why? They have some value in prediction but are more built to ensure that Vegas never loses and always makes money. They shift lines regularly to try and get money even across things.
Tons of money is being put on the Lakers by people buying into rumors that may or may not be true. Lakers fans are desperate for any relevance again. Vegas has to shift the odds to try and stop that and cover themselves.
You clearly don’t understand how the movement of odds work.

Windhorst has a direct connection to Lebron.
Kawhi is a VERY insular guy. The only person who probably has a clue what he's going to do is Uncle Dennis and he's not leaking it.
If the Clippers or Raptors or Lakers were given any indication negative, they would be making moves. No one is moving.

Yea, if the Clippers were informed pretty early ish yesterday that they were out of the running, why haven't we seen a single report of any other guys they're interested in with their cap space?

The odds also consider which conference teams are in. Rockets are shown as 2nd in the west.

Yea. People have been on their knees for rda and yung a, yet their "hit" rate is ridiculously low.
Yung a likes to tweet out like 8 different things. One "hits" a week or two later and then he spends the next two weeks retweeting everyone who credits hin for "calling" it.
RDA posting about the details being ironed out on a 3 teamer with Lakers keeping Ingram and Pels getting lavine like 2 hours before the actual AD deal. Then people post screen caps of when he said something about the hawks a week earlier as proof he's got the info.
