Player goes down and his team has no TOs, team can’t huddle with coaching staff, only substitute for ‘injured player’, and injured player has to sit out extended period of time, perhaps as much as a quarter. Would you support?

Injured player can not return to game until a change in possession

This is sadly the answer, but it would encourage players and coaches to play hurt and likely get hurt worse

not sure there is an answer

i could see maybe sitting out a play or two

End of the series would be better than quarter

They have to sit out a play under the current rules. You’ll often see them run back in on the play after.

This or give the Head Coach the option of taking a timeout.

Solution is easy, 15 yard personal fouls

There’s already a stoppage in play and the replay official isn’t doing anything else

Make a retrospective assessment and if it happens 3 times in a season pull a scholarship the next year.

Who determines if a player is injured or not? Does a blown out knee incur these penalties? Does getting the wind knocked out of you? I guess a cramp would mean a penalty? Have you ever had a cramp? It debilitates you for a couple of minutes.

Nothing is going to change. College football is at a point of erring on player safety. There are minor injuries that feel a lot worse for a second. For example a stinger. Especially if you aren’t used to it. First time it happened to me I thought I was going to lose the use of my arm. Came off. Whirled it around and was good to go right away.
As someone said would we have a player play through an injury to not incur a penalty and get hurt worse.

It’s part of the game now. Teams just need to deal with it. For all kiffins crying one week. His team does it the next week. Or maybe they were legit injuries. I don’t know.

During TV timeout, replay official reviews. If someone spontaneously dies, 15 yards. It’s not that complicated.

Rule proposal: if a player requires on the field evaluation or any assistance to leave the field, he cannot return to the game until 15 minutes of game time has elapsed.

For targeting: Team must play a man down for 1 play. On each subsequent targeting, 2 plays, then 4 plays. This will get head down tackling out of the game.

How about the injured player can't return to the game until he gets a note from his doctor. Would you support? LOL

Fine the athletic department every time you're caught doing it.

The answer is to remove the option to play so fast that teams can't substitute.

No snaps until 15 seconds have run off play clock except at end of half and game. Injury then results in timeout.

This is requiring more officiating.
