A bunch of NFL players could play in the MLB... I would say the majority of QBs could make a MLB roster

Iverson was 5'10 and maybe weighed 160. He was very quick. But I have no idea how that speed would translate to the football field. I have seen all world speed guys not be able to hang on college teams. Leonard Scott could never have sniffed a NFL field and he would wax anybody in the NBA..

I don't believe most NBA players could handle the physical part of the NFL.

Most positions in football just take a whole lot less skill than basketball. Yes to be great at basketball you have to have size and athleticism, but you also have to be skilled.

Are we taking into consideration being able to handle tackling/getting tackled on a weekly basis? Or are you just saying in a vacuum they’re skilled enough to make it. There’s a lot of amazing athletes out there who just don’t do well with the physical nature of football.

The athleticism of NBA players is one of the most overblown things I've ever seen. Have you seen basketball players do anything outside of basketball? It's painful to watch. Trying to throw a ball, swinging a bat or golf club they mostly look like chess club nerds. There's a reason why NBA players are terrible fighters. None of them can snap a punch from the shoulder. They all flail like middle school girls. Charles Oakley is considered the toughest enforcer in the Association's history and he open-hand slapped like a girl.

Truth be told, a good percentage of NBA players aren't even good at basic skills of basketball. Watching big men try to dribble a ball up court is pretty comical. How many players shoot less than 70% from the charity stripe?

Probably the best all-around athletes as far as hand-eye coordination/speed/quickness/agility/strength are NHL hockey players. MLB players are probably right there with them.

I am not saying AI would have been a lock but he had elite quickness, vertical, a fearless mindset, and he was very successful in highschool. He had potebtial as a returner, slot WR, and CB.

Terence Davis last year was named to the 2nd team all rookie team and had back to back 1000 yard receiving seasons at Southaven high school. He would’ve been playing football in the SEC but went with basketball.

For the most part I agree. D Wade actually liked football better but was better at basketball. I would imagine he is an exception.

What a dumb fricking thread. The number of current NBA players who could make an NFL roster is probably zero. MAYBE 3-5 at most.

From an athletic standpoint, had many of them chose football in high school, it would be different. But now, no.

I don't think NBA players who need load management to play basketball could handle the physicality and grind of the NFL

Going on just athletic ability? Sure, but it takes a certain kind of mentality to play football and you either have it or you don't. Even with the rules taking out a lot of the vicious hits, it's still a collision sport.

If we're just throwing out percentages without anything to back it up, I'd say only 5% of the 70% you say would make a roster would have the toughness to stick it out.

I think some of yall are looking at this wrong with all the DE/ET talk. Sure some guys could do those thing but I think the majority of the guys would make it as DBs/WRs. John Wall, Westbrook, Mitchell, Lillard, Morant, ect are all stupid explosive and wouuld make great Corners or Safeties. Guys like Kawhi, LBJ, and Paul George could easily be TE/WR types. I don't think yall realize how rare their athleticism combined with their size is. CBs would have little to no chance.

Of all the idiotic things I have read in this thread, this has to take the cake. Kyler Murray could compete obviously, but I'd love to hear about all these NFL guys supplanting MLB starters.

Lebron cries like a bitch if he is even touched in the NBA. And he is probably the most physical speciemen in NBA history..... he would get crushed in the NFL......

And even Kyler Murray was not a very good college baseball player, just drafted on projections.
