Adrian Peterson was the first real RB that gave me wood. His style mixed with his athleticism is not one I’ve seen replicated much

I’ll take the heat for saying Ricky.
But what’s wrong with Barkley? Have you seen him? He’s on a special level, it’s just early.

Hester housing the opening kick in the Super Bowl was absolutely incredible. Hall Sanders Kamara Peterson are all good mentions.
Two underrated ones not mentioned on here: Jermaine Lewis and Darren Sproles (both as a returner and a back). Not on the level of the guys above but fun to watch

LaDanian Tomlinson needs more consideration.

Unrelated note, I love those lions units with no logos and black socks.

I started watching in the early to mid-80's when Payton was still playing and Eric Dickerson was in his prime. As a Cowboys fan, I remember Dickerson just shredding them in the divisional playoffs in 1985 when he was with the Rams. He had around 250 yards. That game was a brutal loss.

Sanders hands down
A lot of the other backs mentioned here were just as much power runners as electrifying.

Nowadays it’d be no problem for Barry to publicly demand a trade due to a franchise’s incompetence.
But back then. No one really did that. So he retired. What a bummer.

he always reminded me of those lions chasing prey in africa and them things bounced left and right changing directions so fast the lion couldnt grab them
he was and always will be something very special but was wasted suffering endless bad seasons with a bottom dweller team his whole career
