UGA's 2021 unit had:
Travon Walker (1st Rd - 1 overall)
Jordan Davis (1st Rd- 13 overall)
Devonte Wyatt (1st Rd- 28 overall)
starting with Jalen Carter (1st Rd- 9 overall) first off the bench. I'd say that was strong.

Up very close, I played with a guy in HS who was a cup of coffee type guy in the NFL. He would absolutely maul everyone every day in practice, and he wasn't even going half speed. It helped clearly establish in my mind what different breed of people NFL type players really are.
In terms of dominating at the collegiate level, Suh was the standard.
In terms of being a pro, I always feel like John Randle was severely underappreciated despite being a HOFer. Guy was light in his britches and held up at the point in run defense, at DT, and got after it. White was more purely physically impressive, but often took long stretches off, it felt like.

Aaron Donald is the best player in NFL history. So, him.

In college LSU noseguard Ramsey Dardar beating down Nebraska center Dave Remington in the 83 Orange Bowl.

Probably Chiefs D line with Derrick Thomas, Neil Smith and Dan Saleamumua. If the Chiefs would have had a decent offense in 1994/95 when Schottemheimer was coaching the Chiefs with Thomas, Smith, Saleamumua, Dale Carter, James Hasty and Mark Collins on defense they could have won a couple of Super Bowls.

For some reason I thought of him when I saw this thread title.
As for LSU guys, everybody of course says Glenn Dorsey, but I have fond memories of ole Chad Lavalais from the 2003 team. He seemed invincible at the time.

What Suh did vs Texas will probably never be replicated. Aside from him and Amukamara, Texas was better at every position. It was a total mismatch talent wise
Nebraska had 106 yards on 55 plays, almost as many turnovers, 3, as first downs, 5, and more penalty yards than total offense until their last possession. They had 1 drive the entire game >15 yards. Yet they were 100% the better team that night and deserved to win because Suh whipped the ever loving shite out of entire Texas OL by himself.
The guy simultaneously shut down the interior run game, likely had the greatest pass rushing performance for a DT in CFB history, and made several TFL or minimal gain on the edge while playing DT. Texas could have triple teamed him down blocking the RT and it still wouldn't have mattered
12 tackles, 7 TFL, 4.5 sacks, 2 more hurries that resulted in a sack and stopped a potential hail mary at the end of the 1st half, forcing throwaway to avoid another sack. Basically every play the guy made that night killed Texas drives.
Only time I've ever one defensive player completely dominate a game by himself in every facet. And that Texas team averaged >40 ppg
1-10 at UT 23 McCoy sacked for loss of 2 yards to the UT21 (Suh)
3-2 at UT 41 McCoy sacked for loss of 6 yards to the UT35 (Suh;Meredith)
1-10 at NU 31 McCoy rush up middle for no gain to the NU31 (Suh)
2-10 at NU15 McCoy sacked for loss of 3 yards to the NU18 (Turner), QB hurry by Suh
1-10 at UT 32 McCoy sacked for loss of 7 yards to the UT25 (Suh)
2-10 at NU 45 QB hurry by Suh. End of half, clock 00:00
1-25 at UT 22 Newton rush over right end for 2 yards to the UT24 (Suh)
2-23 at UT 24 McCoy sacked for loss of 7 yards to the UT17 (Suh)
2-5 at NU 27 Newton rush over left guard for loss of 1 yard to the NU28 (Gomes;Suh)
1-10 at NU 40 Newton rush over right tackle for no gain to the NU40 (Suh)
1-10 at NU 25 Newton rush over right tackle for no gain to the NU25 (Suh)
1-10 at UT 01 McCoy rush quarterback sneak for 1 yard to the UT2 (Suh)
2-9 at UT 02 Newton rush over right tackle for loss of 1 yard to the UT1 (Suh)
1-10 at NU 26 McCoy sacked for loss of 2 yards to the NU28 (Suh)

The only knock on Suh that game was you could make an argument that he was TOO good.
If he was just half a step slower on that final play, and gets to Colt slightly later for Colt to throw it away, they don’t put the extra second on the clock for the FG.

One of the hardest watches for a CFB game I can remember. Nebraska's offense totally inept and Texas effectively playing without a RG/C, but looking at the box, unless he was lining up at strongside end on some plays, Suh regularly making tackles at the LOS on runs off RT and Edge is completely absurd. How the guard can get owned that badly by a 3 tech is a catastrophic failure
Also if you factor in potential punt yardage loss from turnovers, Nebraska had negative adjusted total yardage for that game and still almost won

Wasn't that the year they made AFCCG with Joe Montana?

Vince Wilfolk but not as a QB menace. Just great in the middle for a very long time.

dude wrecked havoc in the championship game against Texas, never seen anything like it

Booger in college. He would blow through the line.
Reggie White in the NFL. I saw a play where he was running toward a qb that was rolling out to his side. With one arm, he threw an OT in the air, then made the tackle.

That hit on the Michigan RB is legendary
Clowney was a stud for sure, but that play gets blown waaay out of proportion. Dude went unblocked and just had to run straight forward. A lot of DL's and LB's could have made the same play.
