obviously both are strong numbers and reflect that even though the mets absolutely choked in the final week, they didnt lose the division as much as the braves won it

Yeah I'm not married to the 118 number, I'm just going off the top of my head. 110 is still nuts and like you said, illustrates that the braves just kinda took it.

correct. mets had a great year. braves were just unreal and caught them at the end for a photo finish much like we did in 93 with the giants

he faced 8-9-1-2-3 and sat down, ottavino came in and lugo finished a game they won

More Atl. success , but there is some failure on the Mets ( old arms ,late season)

They went 1-7 at home against the Cubs/Fish/Nats in September and couldn't win 1 game in Atl. There's a lot more than just "some" failure.
