This might be the best part of the whole proposal

Yeah, probably so. Just don't know if they can find 3 more with suitable dimensions and accommodations in the metro area.

Grand Canyon's dimensions could provide some interesting results if things aren't modified.

• No mound visits from the catcher or pitching coach
• Seven-inning doubleheaders, which, with an earlier-than-expected start date, could allow baseball to come closer to a full 162-game season
• Regular use of on-field microphones by players, as an added bonus for TV viewers
• Sitting in the empty stands 6 feet apart - the recommended social-distancing space - instead of in a dugout

I know there will be expanded rosters, but will they be able to call players up from the minors?

There would be absolutely zero reason they could give that would justify not televising every single game.

Phoenix makes the most sense

10 spring training stadiums, Chase Stadium, two Arizona State baseball stadiums, and Grand Canyon baseball.

Thats 14 stadiums, so you would only need one double header a day for all 30 teams to play. That leaves you plenty of opportunities to play scheduled doubleheaders to get numbers up.

And this is already getting some pushback

Because privately, some individual players are initially balking at the idea

Everything is going to get pushback

But players want their high salaries

Then media wants owners to pay MiLB players

Then there’s the amateur draft

Then there’s international signing

If I’m an owner and y’all want me to pay all that money? We playing.
