Players are getting hit in the hands a lot recently, is that a trend or just coincidence? Frazier and Martinez both getting hit with their new teams.

With a loaded bullpen, FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal speculated on an idea that makes a ton of sense in theory: Trading Dellin Betances in another deal for starting pitching help.

Crasnick classifies the Dodgers’ interest in Orioles closer Zach Britton as “legitimate” but notes that they’re a bit cautious due to his 2017 forearm issues. Ken Rosenthal wrote yesterday that L.A. is reluctant to part with prospects Alex Verdugo and Walker Buehler in trades, and Crasnick echoes that statement while also adding righty Yadier Alvarez to the list

As for the Astros, they’ll continue looking for a starter that could join the playoff rotation behind Dallas Keuchel and Lance McCullers, though they, too, could look instead to a late-inning lefty like Britton or Detroit’s Justin Wilson.

Mariners “appear willing” to trade outfield prospect Tyler O’Neill this summer, reports Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune. The 22-year-old O’Neill entered the season ranked among the game’s 50 or so best prospects on several notable lists (Baseball America, MLB.com, Baseball Prospectus

Wonder how many prospects he would cost them...

Enough prospects to where they will whine about overpaying im sure

Outfielder Brayan Hernandez is the top prospect headed to the Marlins in the deal, tweets Passan. Sherman adds that the Marlins are also receiving right-handers Brandon Miller, Pablo Lopez and Lucas Schiraldi in the trade.

Trade talks between the Astros and Athletics pertaining to Sonny Gray are “heating up,” according to MLB.com’s Jon Morosi (Twitter links). Morosi adds that while Houston is in talks with the A’s, the Astros are also maintaining interest in trying to work out a deal that would net both Justin Verlander and Justin Wilson from the Tigers.

My favorite part of the year. Everyone thinks their prospects are too valuable to trade and evryone elses are not valuable enough

Oh if they take on his full salary
Posted on 7/20/17 at 10:52 am to WestCoastAg
Tigers will eat a good amount

Do not want Verlander. Maybe they're using a fake interest in Verlander to eventually just get Wilson. Stros will take Gray and Wilson. Verlander can stay where he is, do not want.
Posted on 7/20/17 at 12:17 pm to tduecen
I'd rather have Gray for 20 games a year than the current Verlander for 28-35 games.

Verlander would help, but not enough to pay his cost in prospects or salary. And the Tigers probably want both top prospects and a team to take on the majority of his salary.
Not worth it.
Not worth it.

Wilson is the key, Verlander is just to take a contract off the hooks. So Wilson would be the prospects and by taking Verlander they may take back less.
