Very good. Just an absolutely brutal stretch of baseball.
The Yankees have lost every series (besides one that they split) since June 9-11. That is insane.

Britton to the Dodgers makes too much sense. I'm just worried that the O's are gonna haggle us since we have the best record in baseball and probably won't want to give up buehler or verdugo

And still in the thick of things... Concerned me that Montgomery didn't look good early. But I give it to him, he stayed in and made it through 6.

As silly as it sounds, I almost look at tomorrow as a must win. I'm in desperation mode.

I'm looking forward to that matchup... also Frazier will be at 3B with Headley moving across the diamond

Also, the writing on the wall is there. If Headley goes cold in the second half or simply continues to hit for absolutely no power, Choi and Cooper will steal some of his at bats at 1st base.
As it should be. Headley is a trash player.
Gardner CF
C. Frazier LF
Judge RF
Holliday DH
Sanchez C
Castro 2B
T. Frazier 3B
Headley 1B
Gregorius SS
That would be my lineup to start. I don't love Holliday too much in the 4-hole, but I do like the idea of having a professional experienced hitter behind Judge. Gary Sanchez is way too streaky to hit behind Judge. I'd use Gregorius as a second lead-off hitter to try and maximize the amount of base runners for when Judge comes to the plate.
I like Frazier in the 2-hole with Judge as hit protection. He doesn't walk a lot, but it should assure him lots of fastballs to mash.
As soon as Hicks comes back, assuming he's healthy, Ellsbury should literally never play.

CHoi was DFA'd today with Resnyfder (sp?)

I actually heard that earlier on a podcast and forgot
Opposite of what initially said.
I thought Choi would stay up and Cooper would get sent down. Occasionally against righties, Headley can go back to third and Choi could play first to maximize left-handed hitters in the lineup.
But I guess it really doesn't matter.

The Giants have agreed to a deal with third baseman Pablo Sandoval, according to MLB.com’s Jesse Sanchez (via Twitter). While the match had been rumored, and is rather unsurprising on paper, it’s still quite a notable reunion for a player who was once one of San Francisco’s most visible stars.

JD Martinez took a pitch off the hand and left the game after 2 ABs.

It looked like the pitch hit him square on the hand, too. He'll be very lucky if nothing is broken.

That's a kick to the balls if there ever was one

At least they didn't give up much

I like JD. Good deal.
