Orioles getting Diaz, Kramer, Bannon, Pop, Valera, source tells The Athletic.
Rylan Bannon is a guy to watch there. 8th round pick from the 2017 draft. He's a 3B in High A right now, but I think he ends up at 2B because he doesn't have a lot of power. Great glove.

The rest of that haul is meh for the Orioles, although I think Kremer makes it to the bigs as a middle reliever.

Looked up his stats and it seems he is having a great first season in the minors. O's top prospect is a 3B (Ryan Mountcastle), so I could see them potentially putting Bannon at 2B.

Valera is a 26-year-old 2B who has seen time in majors this season.

Decent bat, no pop. Can play 2nd, SS, 3rd, LF, or RF. Was in the Cardinals org for a long time. He was traded shortly before the season to the Dodgers when the Cardinals DFA'd him to make room on the 40 man roster.

Bannon is on the small side for a 3B, about 5'10-180. He's perfect at 2B. I go watch the Quakes games sometimes in Rancho Cucamonga, and I really like him. Dodger's beat writers who've seen the full minor league system say he's one of the best gloves in the Dodgers minor league teams. And he can hit. I don't know that he'll be a star, but I think he'll be a MLB regular.

So who we thinking is next to be moved?

Feel like now that Machado is gone it will quickly open the door for other infielders like Moose or even Dozier

Guess it wouldn’t really be too surprising for the first SP to happen but it’s not like that market was waiting on Machado. Hamels and Happ seem to be 2 that will be on the move but surely there will be others

Really interested to see who/when the first big reliever to be traded will be. Gotta imagine Orioles are gonna wait it out til close to the deadline for Britton so he can keep driving his value up with a few more good outings

With his recent injury history, they may not want to do that. But contenders may want to see more of Britton to make sure he's good to go.

“We’re going to take a look at trading the veteran players…the ones that are nearing free agency,” said Duquette. Certainly, it seems that impending free agents Zach Britton and Brad Brach are virtual locks to be moved. Veteran outfielder Adam Jones is also a candidate, though his 10-and-5 rights grant him the power to veto any trade.

Will be interesting to see what San Diego got considering some of the rumors around what they were asking for in past years

Yeah considering the asking price for Hand has been an arm and a leg the last few years. I shocked the Padres traded him considering the asking price has been crazy high the last few years.

Right-hander Adam Cimber is also headed to the Indians, Rosenthal reports. Both Rosenthal and Murray hear that top catching prospect Francisco Mejia is headed to the Padres as part of the developing blockbuster (Twitter links).
