Jon Heyman
?
@JonHeyman
the medical holdup in the Machado trade isn't over top OF prospect Yusniel Diaz, the key prospect in the trade and one real name that's out there & confirmed. since it's apparently over a complementary piece (at least compared to Diaz), the chances to work it out are much better.

O's being the O's, they will let a medical question on a complementary piece kill the deal.

God I just want this deal to be over

Free agents are going to avoid Baltimore like the plague until there's a new owner. Players and agents don't trust or respect the organization anymore.

#Dodgers? ? #Orioles should be able to officially complete Manny Machado trade this evening. 5 prospects led by Yusniel Diaz will head to #Orioles. Medicals no longer an issue according to a source involved in the transaction.

Looks like the Machado trade to the #dodgers? ? will go through. #orioles getting back 5 players. Told just some "final points to review" and that medical concerns have been "all but addressed." Not a deal-breaker. So stay tuned

Gavin Lux and Dustin May are still Dodgers. Source: today’s lineup card in Rancho Cucamonga.
Appear to not be included in deal.

Let this please be done and let us never deal with Baltimore ever again

Yea, this has been a nightmare to watch unfold.

Better deal than what it looked like it would be

If only this was a deadline deal. Would have been cool for this go through an exact decade after the first manny trade

Diaz was #Dodgers’ No. 4 prospect, according to @MLBPipeline. Bannon, a third baseman, was No. 27. Kremer, a right-handed pitcher, was No. 28. Pop is a right-hander in High A. Valera is a 26-year-old 2B who has seen time in majors this season.

Source confirms: No cash going from #Orioles to #Dodgers. Machado owed about $6.3M for rest of season, but LAD still projected to be under luxury-tax threshold. Getting close to $197M threshold, though, as team also seeks a reliever.

Orioles getting Diaz, Kramer, Bannon, Pop, Valera, source tells The Athletic.
that's a lot to give up for a 3 month rental...Dodgers front office must think it's win now or be fired

I don't know nothing about the guys Baltimore are getting. Would you say Baltimore is getting a decent, good, or great return?
Posted on 7/18/18 at 6:34 pm to CobraCommander83
Good. Diaz alone makes it good

If you are going to rebuild, then you have to rebuild the farm system first. Hopefully, O's can trade a few more pieces and get a couple more decent prospects.
