Braves clinch the East and the #2 seed and a bye to the NLDS.

5 straight East titles. They are the first team in the history of baseball w/2 streaks of 5 or more years of consecutive divisional titles.

This is their 21st division title.

They do not re seed. Dodgers will face the 4/5 winner, Braves will face the 3/6. Philly can still pass San Diego I believe because they have the tie breaker

That is interesting the teams aren't re seeded. I thought at one time the teams were re seeded.

I will say I dislike this new format. I like the home team having games 1-2 at home over the first weekend for the divisional series. Now home teams have those games on weekdays and the lower seeded team has their games over the weekend.

I do think this has helped the WS home team get all 4 of their potential games on weekends.

It should be a fun weekend of playoff baseball. I'm sure some haters will inevitably piss and moan on Saturday about the games running long, and cutting into the football games again.
