I’m curious how the long layoff for the teams with byes will effect them. I have ptsd from the Tigers steamrolling their way to World Series matchups vs St. Louis and SF, and then they only won one of those nine games total. Baseball players are creatures of habit and it will be interesting to see which teams jump right back into a rhythm.

I can't speak for the other 3 teams, but it should benefit the Braves tremendously. They were mentally and physically spent after the Mets series and it showed. Every player last night, especially Austin Riley, said that the break will be just what the doctor ordered.

I’m also interested to see how the Dodgers will do after not having played a meaningful game in the last 3 months. It might be harder than you think to turn on the intensity like a light switch.
