Mid to late 2000s Dodgers GOAT
Gotta say, I did not see that one coming. They gave up RHP Andrew Sopko and SS Ronny Brito. I saw Sopko pitch. He's 24 yo, might make it as a fringe roster player, long relief spot starter type. Brito otoh is intriguing. Only 19 yo old and suppsedly the best defensive IF in the Dodgers system. And he's starting to hit a little bit, 259/.339/.418 with 15 homers and 104 RBI in the last 3 years.

Andujar will end up as the DH there

He’s also a prime regression candidate

Blogs and all have been saying Andujar has been working with Beltre all winter. If he can just get to league average that is great for the Yankees. Wouldn't surprise me to see him improve somewhat defensively.

Tulo/Gleyeber will both split time at short then Tulo will get some DH time. From article today the Yankees plan on using DJ as a utility type INF.

Nolan Arenado asked for a record $30 million in arbitration. The #Rockies offered $24 million.

earned it, arguably the best defensive player in baseball and plays like an MVP @ home, 30-100 guy while away

The Astros window to win another Championship is closing fast.No way they keep most of their young talent when they all become arbitration eligible and free agents.

Absolutely, he is unreal. Had the privilege of seeing him in person about 2 dozen times over the last few years

It's already over. They had their chance. They blew it because of cheap arse crane and lunhow thinks he's smarter than everyone.

Luhnow is no dummy. He will move players for prospects and needs if he has too. I doubt he will just let players walk.

Only tanker who's window is gone is Cubs, and i said it last year before season started, they are done as a WS contender. Central contender sure, going to a WS, nope.

Uhhhh, he already let 2 starting pitchers who had a lot to do with them winning a championship walk this year in Kuechel and Morton didn't he ???

Just going to leave this here.

Astros: Win Now or Long Term Success

I do believe the window is closed after this season or next, as much as I don't want it to be. They will continue to contend and sit atop the AL West but the starts aligned for them in 2017. Its a nice dream but they really should go all in this year and should have last year.

Lunhow getting rid of Josh Hader for Carlos Gomez and Mike Foltynewicz for Evan Gattis were two of the ones that hurt the most IMO. He knew Hader had prodigious talent when he traded for him and overthought it.

So ol boy that Twittered about a Harper Philly announcement today was full of shite huh

I really don't think he goes there. Werth is his mentor and spent 5 years beating Philly hate into him.

They still won a WS. You can’t win every trade

Doesn't mean he doesn't try and be smarter than everyone. You know he had to be in the mix with Tucker/TBD for Christian Yelich. He should have pulled the trigger then and he realizes it now. That was stupid then and its stupid now. That deal was juicy for the Astros future.
