They have the smarts to know they are still too green to truly contend for the WS this coming year, thus are just accentuating via modest moves to improve the lineup.

Bost, Hou, NYY, LAD, are too loaded. Then second tier of Chi, Mil, St.L, TB,etc..of which the Braves can clearly compete with, is where they currently reside.

I think the moves by Atl and Phi have been sensible, plus both have solid farms. I wouldn't overpay in trade pieces for Realmuto if Atl. The Braves as shown last season are ahead of pace in title caliber rebuild. The solid pitching staffs and mediocre hitting of NYM and Wash(also their weak attendance numbers) dictated a need to contend now and drastic moves.

We were going to sign Delscalso but the Cubs beat us to him.

Great move for the Mets if healthy. He can play 2B/3B possibly even 1B if need be.

So what are the Yankees doing with Torres? Are they just banking on tulo getting hurt?

Tulo signed for the league minimum. Torres at short and DJ at 2nd. No one should be dumb enough to be dependent on what Tulo is doing. I'm sure he'll get some reps all over the INF.

I don’t think the plan was ever for Tulo to play everyday. If their roster stays the same I’m guessing he will be more of a utility guy. They could still deal Andujar for something. It does create kind of a crunch if they were to sign Machado.

Perhaps Andujar is moving off 3B too if he stays in New York

I dont see either happening, i think this is basically the last roster change with maybe ottavino still added to the bullpen. Hope im wrong.

The boss is rolling over in his grave at how cheap hal is, especially the season after our biggest rival just won the World Series.

Hal and company seem happier padding their bank account instead of adding trophies to the case.

BUT If the yankees can stay healthy and some guys have good years instead of shite years like sanchez, they still should be able to compete for a championship.

Doesn’t seem like they’ve been too aggressive on Machado from reports. They really don’t need to make another move. I think LeMahieu could play well in Yankee Stadium for the contract he got

@BillShaikin
As the #Dodgers bring back Russell Martin, it should not be lost that he played third base, left field, second base and shortstop within the last three years

What're the Yanks going to do when Didi returns? Is the plan to move Andujar to 1st?

Anyone that thinks Tulo is going to stay healthy and/or productive is just fooling themselves. He will be out of the picture by the time didi returns.
