Morrow deal doesn’t look as bad

Don’t really see how that’s possible

Multiple agents anticipate that there is going to be a run on relieves in the next 24-36 hours, that Morrow's 2-yr, $21M deal with the #Cubs essentially set the high end for those who are going to get 2-yr deals and, thus, others can fall in line now.

Yeah I should’ve prefaced barring injury or trades

Jake McGee, come on down!

I know the Yankees prefer to move Ellsbury, reports they are willing to eat 15m a year to do so (meaning a team getting him for 7m a year) and then play Hicks in CF, Gardner LF, and Stanton/Judge RF/DH with Frazier the 4th OF giving Gardner/Hicks a rest.

Well the Rangers killed Profar on their own with Andrus and Odor later on so he never got the at-bats he needed. Olt and Perez have just sucked it up, Olt a lot more

I think the Yankees move Frazier in a package for a pitcher

I feel like Olt is what the absolute worst case would have been for Gallo

Nats supposedly interested in Ozuna.... Ozuna, Harper, and Eaton would be a nice OF

Glad to see that Morris and Trammell got in.

Rangers are looking at a deal for Marcell Ozuna to play CF

Not sure we have the juice to make it happen. The farm system has been zapped the past few seasons. I'm sure Calhoun would be enticing but it'll take a lot more than that considering Ozuna has two more years of control. We'd be absolutely barren afterwards.

I would hope that we don't trade Calhoun. I'd like to see what he can do first, but outside of him we really don't have much outside of Taveras and that's a huge question mark at this point. Maybe Guzman if they plan on just keeping Gallo at first.
Problem with Ozuna is the Marlins wouldn't really be getting rid of him to shave money, unless they don't want to deal with arbitration with him

Weird move unless the Yankees are eating at least half his salary.

Jeff Passan? Verified account Sources: The San Diego Padres continue to be one of the more active teams at the Winter Meetings. There's traction to their talks with Eric Hosmer, and they're seeking a young, under-control shortstop. One match to keep an eye on: The Chicago Cubs.
Who do the Padres have to give up?
