Yeah but it is a lot easier to make a 3 pointer than hit a HR.
Baseball doesn't have enough efficient HR hitters to deploy this strat league wide and as a result you get half the league tanking.

Teams aren't going to change because analytics show this is how you win baseball games now.
But more walks, K's, and homers
Debatable. Only one team since 2015 was top 3 in the league in homers (2017 Astros) but since 2015 the only team that wasn’t first or second in batting average was the 2016 cubs.
It’s certainly easier and cheaper to put a bunch of guys who swing for the fences in the lineup if you are looking for a quicker turn around (see 2014 and 2015 Astros, last year’s brewers, this year’s twins) but it hasn’t won the whole thing yet and not sustainable. it’s more difficult to put a group of solid hitters who can also then maximize their power tool (2017 stros 2018 Red Sox, Dodgers over the last 3 years). Stolen bases are down which sucks a bit but no one wants to give away an out which makes sense. Though notably the sox did swipe a decent amount of bags

Listening to Goose Gossage and Pete Rose talk anything about the modern game is pointless. They both believe the era they played in was the best of all time

Funny, I feel the same about the NFL and NBA

Baseball has more action than football????

The situations aren't remotely comparable. If you show a non-baseball fan a baseball game between two random baseball teams, it would be hard to differentiate the teams that much. Their playing styles will be the same, the way they hit HRs are the same, and their pitches and hits look the same too. Meanwhile you show a non-football fan one game with the Ravens and one game featuring the Saints and they would understand fairly quickly that the two teams have different unique playing styles.

You pick two completely different style football teams
you have several teams that play a different style, the Giants tend to play more natural NL ball because they lack the he run hitters
Terry Francona of the Indians loves the hit and run, sacrifice bunt etc. To say they all look the same is just being ignorant really.

Yeah no one could tell the difference between the cubs with kyle hendricks on the mound and the astros with gerrit cole

Just saw a successful hit and run by the Angels.

People that are complaining don’t actually watch baseball.
There were a combined 22 hits in the Astros vs Tigers game tonight, only 9 runs scored.
If there’s anything to complain about, it’s a lot of teams running bad players out and not being competitive. Not that I’m complaining, the Astros successfully went through a tank and came out the other side.
The bigger issue, is the analytic movement is generally thought to level the playing field, but so far, the rich have just gotten richer, because their analytic departments are so robust (Yankees, Dodgers, Astros, etc) vs teams like the Mets, Pittsburgh, etc

Record breaking home runs and strikeouts say they aren't just imagining it.
Nuance makes things interesting. Some guy just swinging wildly for the fences every at bat isn't really interesting.

Yeah that’s not surprising I was mostly just making the comment on that the best of the best aren’t playing three true outcomes ball and the most readily accessible/easily digestible is home run total and average. The elite teams have just monopolized the all around good hitters who can do it all.

And the MLB is very close to expansion? There's already SO many bad rosters.
But then again this is the same league giving guys like Bryce Harper 300 fricking million to hit .250 with 150 strikeouts but hey man 26 bombs! Eugenio Suarez of the Reds needs to ask for about 350 million at this rate. Rougned Odor of the Rangers is on pace for about 250 million. Jorge Soler 300M+.

Yet local ratings crush every sport
Teams continue to get LOCAL tv deals for billions.

I hope that you don't watch football then
There's no comparison. Football is like a symphony. Baseball is alike a junior high piano recital. Football is one of the last true team sports.
But the NFL is hell bent on bringing their product down to the level of MLB.
