You don’t think officials that are making blatant calls that are rigging games don’t have egos or hubris?

I can’t stand the Saints, but the refs that rigged the NFCCG a few years ago clearly were the height of hubris. They all got away with it, several got to ref Super Bowls. Lol

O wow! A coach being mad at the official. That's never happened in the history of sports, ever!

They weren't supposed to win yesterday.

The problem is the freaking army of refs out there looking for any reason to throw a flag.

I watched about 1/2 of Super Bowl XXIII last night and I don’t remember seeing a single flag. It was glorious.

Just stop throwing so damn many flags.

Super Bowl XXIII was an era when you were still allowed to hit the QB as hard as you could, and DBs were allowed to play actual pass defense.

Neither one of those is allowed in today's NFL, where the league loves the video game type offenses because it generates excitement from the fantasy football stat nerds.

Why is this any different than other coaches berating officials?

You know why.

Every team would be down to their 3rd string QB by mid season if this was still allowed.

I love this conspiracy that the NFL would "rig" a game against one of their most popular franchises against probably the least popular team.

No, the issue is they have added so many rules to the rule book, many of which are arbitrary so we as fans are now

I wouldn’t say “arbitrary,” but they make them hyper-technical and extraordinarily complex, which ultimately removes common sense from the equation.

Yet, refuse to make any effort to accurately enforce the play clock.

Plus, still use the comical and absurd ‘some guy’s foot plus two sticks and a chain’ method of “measuring” a potential first down.

No I don’t.

Are you saying this is getting attention because he’s black or because she’s a woman? I’d disagree with either, but I’m just curious.

With all due respect, you have no clue what you’re talking about here

I was at this game and the refs were ridiculous. Gave a roughing call for a clean hit on Trevor then Picketts gets absolutely crushed and injured not long after and nothing.

PIT made a field goal as time expired in the first half taken off the board by a phantom illegal procedure call then missed the next attempt.

Do they really fine coaches for cursing at the refs?

This would push me over the edge.
