In most college stadia, this will greatly reduce capacity; less population density usually equates to less noisy environments. The reason a lot of these venues are raucous is the way they’re built, with tons of fans packed in tight.
Iowa has a very nice classic brick stadium that has had a few hundred million in upgrades this century and it’s mostly all bleachers except the club and suites. Loud as frick at 70k. Fans right on top of the field
