In 1994, after a series of negotiations and rules changes, in-game scouting was prohibited.
A lot of the bigger schools were against the change originally, but they slowly relented and agreed to the new rules. Schools went along with the new requirements and obeyed the rules.
Everything was fine until Connor Stallions was busted, and Michigan was exposed. That’s one of the root causes of the animosity in the coaching fraternity against Michigan, especially within the B10

Of course we are still waiting. Because it hasn’t gone to the COI yet. That 2 day hearing is in early June and the punishments come out around 2-3 months after that.
No one can know for certain how it plays out but I’m still on the side of it will be worse than posters here expect. They are a repeat offender with 6 Level 1 infractions against them. And they have notoriously not been cooperative.
The NCAA isn’t going to slap their arse and say good game.

If its only about this one scandal (spygate), then I think nothing happens. But I think the NCAA is looking at a few of the things will say there is a pattern here. If that is the case, it might be a harsher punishment than most think.
