UM being the moral compass for all collegiate sports ignored this until it gave them an out with a hire that clearly wasn't working out
The SEC schools are always painted as the evil ones in national media. The Big Ten is just as dirty if not more.

I beg to differ and would generally consider myself pretty rational when it comes to my fandom. LSU and both of the coaches have been vilified to a degree we haven't seen much.
Kiffin brings a lot of it on himself, but the reaction was still hilariously over the top.
