Watching old Cowboys and Hurricanes highlights, Michael Irving was perhaps one the best if not greatest of all time WRs. Ferocious route running, fearless hands, a swagger that bordered psychopath, Irving always came to play football. Had he not been injured and selling and consuming crack cocaine and stabbing teammates, Michael Irving might have retired with all the records.

As big of a Cowboy fan as I am, I am agreeing that he is not the greatest WR of all time. He wasn't even the greatest in his Conference when he played, the guy in San Fran was a lot better.

I can think of several more off the top of my head: Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Tim Brown, Calvin Johnson

It was amazing that he and Chris Carter could do such hard drugs and still perform at competitively high levels

This is the only position in history that there is absolutely no debate on.

Its Jerry Rice.

Is Michael Irvin even the greatest receiver to put on the Star of Dallas?

1- Irvin. Not Irving.

2- More natural ability than guys like Rice, Largent and Isaac Bruce, yet couldn't accomplish what they did due to being a piece of crap.

He may not end up being the best 88 in Cowboys history.

And you also forgot to put Lance Alworth on your list.
