In a way. Yes. Being able to openly protest your government without fear of persecution is a beautiful thing.


I just wouldn’t ever kneel for the national anthem. I’d protest in other ways. But I absolutely support anyone’s right to do it.

Agreed. But it doesn't mean a private employer can't punish/fire you for political protesting while you're in uniform as a representative of the company.

I imagine that behind closed doors, a number of NFL and NBA team owners are pissed because they know that the activism and protesting is going to turn off a lot of fans and cost them money. But they can't say anything about it because of the backlash they'll get from players, media and the fans who support it.

Truthfully, I think it is beautiful in that it represents what America is all about, freedom. In other countries you could probably be thrown in jail or maybe even executed for protesting their anthem/flag.

I don't necessarily agree with them kneeling as it's incredibly pointless imo. But I still respect it becauer freedom.
