I'm 2004, but I spent a bunch of time compiling old articles for a Central website I used to have. Plus, there are two old timers that sit with my friends and I at games that graduated from Lockport High School and have been to just about every CL game since the school opened so I get to hear all their old stories.

How about you, where'd you graduate from?

I'm 95 from Ellender, married a girl from Raceland. We actually had a decent team while I was there. We went to the QFs my Jr. year and lost to John Curtis 56-6. Our best sport was and still is basketball.

My FIL has had season tickets since 83' when his first kid went there so he has lots of stories. Told me the 2 best QB's he seen play in Trojan Stadium were Ryan Perriloux and Tommy Hodson. Said the hardest he ever been playing football was by Dr. Mike Robichaux, according to him Doc was a beast.

ETA; I remember some time ago running across a site that listed every CL athlete that had a sports scholarship. May have been your site.

Surely mike bauldin had to be on top of you FIL's list. He was the catalyst to that 1996 squad...the last CL team to win a playoff game BTW (20yr drought)

Hearing rumors that Beard from Live Oak to Denham is a done deal.

Not so fast my friend. My cousin is "one of two finalists" and he has had many calls from boosters this week.

I hear the kids don't want to play for him anymore. Not sure if that means the roster size is shrinking, or if he's not getting effort out of the kids on the roster, or both.

Ellender might have the brightest future of any bayou team as long McCormick doesn't go back to ST when Curlin finally retires.

Yep that was mine. I'm building a site right now that has all that info for every school in the state.

McCormick helped coach our Bantam team when I played. Great guy. I went watch Ellender play SL, he does a good job letting his coaches coach.

I'm not 100% sure about the Patterson opening being legit. I don't think kwbj ever followed through on that interview and no other source is reporting it.

After losing 61-21 last night to WM, Ouachita's Fitzgerald has to be on the hot seat.
