Doubt they'd trust Roch with such a big job

I think someone who has coached a team to the dome is pretty interested in that job.

It's Dane's job if he accepts, anybody else who gets it would be the 2nd choice at best.

It will be one of the boys... I am assuming it will be Dane but it's will be one of them... roch is there and is a great coach if chosen... but I am pretty sure if will go Dane head coach and roch will stay and run the offense
If Dane turns it down then it will be roch
No one outside of that staff except Dane will get the job sonny is to loyal to his staff and with him staying as athletic director I am sure he will be there for advise anytime

Yes he was a very successful head coach at Opelousas Catholic and left to be offense coordinator at Cecilia for Dennis skains
And Roch was pegged to be head coach at VC and was screwed out of it due to something stupid and was offensive coordinator instead that year at Vermilion catholic when the won state a few years ago. He then came to teurlings to coach under his dad. Sonny will not turn this over to a stranger he built the program a certain way and will want someone who will continue that, so it will be Dane or Roch.

Looks like TCH is leaning towards getting Dane there. It would be a good hire IMO

That's what I believe will happen. Don't think it's a rush. Dane is a great coach and will do well. I know my son was hoping for coach Roch lol after they got the news. That is his favorite coach. But Dane has been around program so most player know him as well

Dutchtown would not have fired Saia. I know that for fact. There were also rumors that he was ready to leave halfway through this season but they talked him into staying. And then there was a "thanks for the memories" social media post after the St. Amant game, but it has since been taken down.

Bump from way back, but the Dutchtown job is officially open now.

quote:

After 15 years Benny Saia called his final team meeting at Dutchtown High. Saia, the school’s football coach and athletic director, informed his team Monday of his decision to resign after guiding the start-up program to a 110-55 record in its 15 seasons of football. “You have mixed emotions at a time like this,” said the 58-year-old Saia, a Tara High graduate. “I’ve put 15 years of my life in here and enjoyed every minute of it. I think I need to step back, re-charge my batteries and see where I go from there.”

While Saia was stepping down, St. Michael the Archangel announced former Denham Springs High assistant Justin Hutchinson as its new coach, replacing Paul Varnado, who resigned Jan. 9.
