Moscona haters are the most self-congratulatory morons on this site. One irritation and they take to the internet to hate for the sake of hating. Matt is a very good radio guy, we are blessed to have him. I business travel across the South and nation, Baton Rouge is a great sports radio town. When you factor in per capita we may have the best sports radio in the country. But we sure to love to trash every guy that has a show.
I agree with this.

Absolutely!
You don't even have to leave the state. Travel 45 minutes west of BR and listen to God awful sports radio in Lafayette.
There have been more than one occasion I've personally heard where the host is discussing a topic such as the Saints, NFL, NBA, LSU football, etc and he opens up the phone lines to the very first call who says (in a ridiculous cajun accent). "Uh yeah. Do da lady Cajuns have a softball game tonight? Oh. Dey do? What time is da game?"
The poor host is trying do discuss a topic and some dumbass calls in asking for information he could have found with a quick google search or by just opening a newspaper

Moscona, on the other hand, is whoring himself out to the highest bidder, while trying to pimp his latest roofing company, until that one craters.
You’re not wrong but he’s damn good at promoting his advertisers. He really knows how to sell those ad reads cuz I always remember them.

I can’t stand Ott. He constantly interrupts Hanny. Hardly ever finishes a thought and challenges Hanny on EVERY frickING THING HE SAYS. I honestly don’t know how Charlie sits there every day! Charlie knows more about sports than Otts dumb arse will know

11-1 is the only two hours of BR based radio I can handle

No one in the history of the earth, enjoys the sound of Masscona’s voice more than him….

I’d much rather listen to Hunt Palmer or solo Hanny actually talk about sports at lunch time than listen to Ott talk about horse racing over a bunch of handicappers. And when Hannigriff does actually try to talk sports, Ott still turns everything into a conversation about odds.
I agree with this 100%. I love listening to Hannity, but just can’t listen to him and Ott together. That lunch hour show would be much better with just Hannity or him and anyone else but Ott or Condon (who ruined the after football game show when he was on that with Hannity).

You are so right, can't stand listening to Ott. Him bringing sponsors have to be the only reason he have a job.

To each their own. I really liked when Hanny and Ott talked about sports! Now all that show is 2 hours of sports betting talk. I liked when Hanny was by himself.
Say what you want about Hunt, but his show isn't bad and he has a lot of knowledge. I really enjoy when he talks baseball. For me now, it's Culotta in the morning then I kinda just jump around and listen to OTB. Today's shows are no where near as good as the shows use to be during the day.

Most of the people on here have no clue what it takes to be on the radio for 3 hours much less by yourself. Mascona can be a ham sometimes but for the most part he has a good show. I don't mind a little odds talking in addition to the basic sports. Problem here is you have a bunch of bleeding vaginas who never ran anything and never accomplished anything judging others as if they could do better. Would love to get one of you wankers and put you in the seat and watch the rain wreck. LOL. And yes i've done it before. Used to host a Fantasy Football show with Hannity way back in the early 90's when he was just getting started. I can assure you after 1 hour I was ready to hit the door as it was on Sunday nights right after my bball games. It is not easy to talk for 2-3 hours and Rush Limbaugh was the king at that.

How has no one yet mentioned how bad T-Bob is? Video games? Bad movies for kids and teens? Would you rather? Just terrible radio.

Everyone has their preference.
I enjoy listening to T-Bob and Hester. I can’t stand Matt. Ott and Hanny are okay. The betting stuff is getting out of hand.

Preview of coming attractions. We will all be so sick and tired of hearing about Texas this season and beyond. SEC epicenter moving west.
As for Mascona, I actually dont mind him on Whiskey and Wine

in their defense, the time period from when baseball ends and until football starts back up is a pretty dead period. there are only so many local things you can talk about on a daily basis that dont change so it becomes repetitive. a lot like the 12 hours of local radio of all shows talking about the same things. i personally like the different nuances that each show has. they all talk about the same stuff the majority of the time, but all coming from different angles and styles. i do my fair share of gambling so i dont mind the gambling content that they provide but once football starts back up they do localize thier content more but still do the gambling stuff. overall i think its a great lineup and more often than not, people just have to bitch about something instead of simply not listening to it.

Matt Moscona is a very polished radio host, especially in a market like Baton Rouge. He really is a pro, and I think that’s a very underrated quality.
I think when he gets flak, though, it’s less about his talents as a radio host and more about his opinions. He can be very outspoken and opinionated at times and that often rubs people the wrong way. He can be pretty condescending about his takes as well, particularly towards folks in the general public who disagree with him.
I liken it to someone like Colin Cowherd, although obviously in a much smaller market. Cowherd is a talented guy but that doesn’t mean I like to listen to him.
FWIW, I generally do like Moscona’s show. Just pointing out that I don’t think the Moscona hate has much to do with his talent.

Does Ott still believe Peyton Manning "sucks" and will "never succeed in the NFL?" He was convinced that Leaf would have a good NFL career and should have been picked first.
Does he still have the worst case of USC football envy in history?
Dude should have retired from broadcasting years ago and gone to work for Brian Rushing in the flooring store.

T-bob: fun entertaining spazz who pumps sunshine
Hester: he’s kind of just there. But he’s Hester so it’s fine.
Ott and Hanny: just two ole heads who ramble about a wide variety of sports and gambling. They never really break news or have hot takes. Kinda boring
Palmer: deep diving nerd who is overly objective. Kinda boring
Matt Mascona: love him or hate him he’s the most polished radio talent they have. Hot takes, arrogant rants, good interviews and guests. He has the most haters by far and I personally can’t stand how many ads and plugs he does. But haters and advertisers in that industry is just a sign of success $$$$

I mean, you can acknowledge that he puts on a polished radio show while also pointing out that he’s an unabashed whore who will pimp any product if it puts an extra dime in his pocket.
I still listen to his morning podcast on the weekend and he was still shilling GameCoin after some listener asked why there hadn’t been any updates in months.
