Today I learned I'm just a smidgen below the fitness level of a pro soccer player at twice the age.

Bitch you couldn't dance in the ring for 3 minutes in a pair of heavy gloves, especially after all the boosters you got.

Boxers should be close to the too.

Lol that chart has nothing to do with "elite"

The only thing that's 63 is your IQ

None of this even matters, they are all fit. But they are fit for their sport. You couldn't take a swimmer and make them work as a football player or soccer player and the same goes for a football player.

Gymnast gotta be #1

From a musculoskeletal strength, flexibility, and mobility standpoint? Absolutely.

But from a cardio-respiratory efficiency standpoint, they are not elite.

A pro soccer player couldn't finish a 9 minute wrestling match against an elite high school wrestler if they were stood back up to neutral each time they got pinned. An elite high school wrestler could play a game of soccer and then wrestle a tournament consisting of multiple matches in succession.

Yes if you have a 60+ Vo2 max you are elite amongst the general population but when we are talking professional athlete you aren’t elite until you get into the mid to low 80s.

Boxing/Wrestling/MMA aren't at the very top of the list has never done them.

And swimming.

Just have the average person try to spar for 3 minutes startight or swim 5 laps in a pool. Even people 'in shape' will be beyond gassed at first.
