We’re there bonfires going behind the stands still? Those were a mainstay when I was in schoo

No bonfires tonight but when we were leaving we noticed a huge stack of wood pallets and we even commented that would make for a nice bonfire.

Yea the moment I turned on the game I was like “dang our line looks small”

Past few years y’all would’ve probably beaten us by 40 so it’s nice at least seeing us competitive in these type of games again.

Probably left over from homecoming a couple weeks back. They always have a huge bonfire at the school the night before the game.

Apparently there was a bench clearing brawl between Northside-McKinley and everybody is leaving the stadium, game has been suspended

Where’s the video of it? Wasn’t on sports line last night but they did say both teams won’t get to play next week either b/c of the suspensions.

Game clock would not run during certain plays, would run during timeouts, play clock kept not getting started correctly.

They ended up keeping play clock on field.

Seemed like there was confusion between the ready for play signal and the wind the game clock signal

This was around the fourth quarter hydration timeout… Chalmette was on the Patterson 1 yard line with the game tied at 28.

We were trying to bleed a little clock and then call timeout. We thought we’d let the clock get to 5:54, but apparently the hydration timeout has to be at exactly 6:00. They were going back and forth on the scoreboard with it and talking to the coach

They could at least call the hydration timeout only right after the end of a play… or better yet after the first change of possession after 6:00 are left in a quarter

And another question… is the hydration timeout a federation thing for all 50 states? I can’t imagine that every state does it because they don’t all have dangerous temperatures in September that warrant it

And when you have two running teams that are keeping the clock moving, do you really need the hydration timeout after maybe less than 10 plays?

Are there any more Hilliards left to play at Patterson????

Was there ever a better RB duo than Dalton Hilliard and Jerry Butler in LA HS football?

I remember in '81 where they both had 1,000 yds rushing after about 6 games into the season.

If a play is not in progress at 6:00 action stops

Button error most likely

Hydration is state by state.

Mandate is 6min or additionall by white hat discretion

Ruston is stacked and plays one of the most difficult schedules in the state.

West Monroe 31
Scotlandville 28 final

WM eeks out a win against a mediocre team.

I look for 2 maybe 3 more losses this season.

I think this is Coach Arledge's last year as HC and supposedly, Osborne is being groomed to take over next year. I could be wrong though.

The WM program is heading in the wrong direction. For several years now.

Nothing but respect for Coach A. He is one of the huge reasons for success at WM.

He is a legend in Louisiana HS football, right up there with coaches like Red Franklin, Charlie Brown, Chick Childress, Don Shows.

Nothing personal about Coach Osborne & he seems to be a good man but he is not HC material.

The scuttlebutt around WM is that a lot of folks want Jerry King of Longview, TX to be the next coach at WM.

That was worst example but they also had problems starting at stopping the clock in the last 2 min of the first half, and they had problems with the play clock all night.

Are y’all using different operators for play and game clocks, or just one person?

Unless they played unusually bad against Cabot, AR. Without a few timely penalties and missed chip shot FG by Cabot, Ruston loses that game against a decent, not great, team. Watched all of the game and not impressed at all.

Isn’t Helen Cox’s coach the old coach of Landry Walker?
