Catholic absolutely owns the Zacharys, Acadianas and West Monroes of Louisiana football nowadays. You love to see it.

Big win for Catholic. They dominated the line of scrimmage for most of second half.

Difference in conditioning was clear during the second half of this game. I did not expect Zachary to get pushed around like that.

Chalmette 38 West Jefferson 14… we’re going back to the state playoffs for the 8th year in a row

We weren’t far from being 8-2 and hosting round 1… Bogalusa and Ehret were both very winnable in the fourth quarter…

Dutchtown beats EA 30-27. We have a three way tie for first place in the district. Tomorrows Denham-Walker game will be a big one.

So say Denham wins tomorrow, we’ll have 3 teams in the district who are 4-1. EA beat Denham, Denham beat Dutchtown, and Dutchtown beat EA. Would all 3 teams share the district title or can there be an outright champion in this scenario?

But they called an inadvertent whistle while the ball was in end zone before recovered and that resulted in a touchback

False.

The returner did not possess the ball until he was in the Endzone. By rule, it was a touchback and called that on the field.

They share the title.

And based on the power rankings, Denham gets the seeding benefit.

EA drops. DS was close behind them. Dutchtown was a little too far back to catch Denham. So in that scenario, Denham would be the highest seed

Johnny Marchese probably went off about that play, I can hear it in my head

He’s all about bad calls on his radio show, and I get complaining about egregious ones that you see because I do that too, but when you complain about too many, it makes people think that you didn’t think you were the better team, that you needed those calls
