It’s not required to file with LHSAA, the schools have to keep a copy on file.

It’s just seems archaic that the lhsaa doesn’t require the schools to file a digital file on a cloud based file room to prevent any confusion.. not surprising with level of did function between the members.

Walker 15

PHS QB Bishop Davis ran for 254 in the win. Walker had the ball, 1st and goal from the 4 with 5 min left but turned it over on 3rd down.

My son said the QB was their entire offense, yet they let him run all over them on QB delays/draws and zone read outside runs.

I don’t think PHS completed a pass all night.

Head scratcher was Walker had them 3rd and 9 with 1:55 left and did not call time out with 2 of them left. PHS ran the entire 35 secs off before the QB bounced another run outside for 11 yards. Time is more important than saving TOs at that point, and you can at least let the D regroup for the next QB run which came.

Elijah Haven. Great two sport athlete and student. Him on the hardwood

My daughter went to primary school with him.

He's a quality kid with a super family. Everyone likes him.

He's also a monster in the classroom.

Ive know about him for a while, but last night was the first time Ive seen him play football in person.

Without exaggerating, he's the best high school QB I've seen in a very very long time. Maybe ever. And he's 14.

He's that good.

There was no contract. Because of COVID, the LHSAA cancelled all football contracts after 2021 in order to reset the two year cycle. JC and WM had a contract for 2021 and 2022 that got nullified by the LHSAA after the first game. All schools had to sign new contracts and JC didn’t sign a new agreement with WM because WM voted to keep the split in the January 2022 General Meeting.

????

The current schedule cycle began last year

What happened was they had the 19 and 20 cycle, then COVID and hurricanes caused the LHSAA to postpone reclassification. 2021 was played on one year contracts except for district games which were the same as 2019. The new cycle began in 2022

Correct. Because the LHSAA voided all contracts after 2021.

Contracts were for 2019-2020. But then COVID through everything into tailspin in 2020 because none of the contracts could be fulfilled. So the LHSAA declared that all contracts signed for 2021-2022 would be voided after 2021 and they would reset the two year cycle beginning in 2022. So all the games played in 2021 were basically played on a one year contract.

It worked out well because now we lined up with TX, FL, and AL in terms of cycle (although we fell off of cycle with MS).

If there was no contract, then why would JT say they decided to void it. If there was no contract or agreement then there was nothing to void. Spelled out in quotes in that article.

Semantics, but JT is up to his antics again.

Now, he is under contract and decides he doesn’t want to go back to Zachary. So he offers for Zachary season ticket holder to get in free. Seems to me he should stick to the contract and drive to Zachary. But, here we are.

Optics by both aren’t great but this isn’t on Z, and it’s not the first time JT has opted out of a game(s) because of his ego.

I’m curious why curtis would agree to two straight away games in Zachary?

Playing games in NOLA is absurdly expensive and a pain. It’s why a bunch of Catholic league games are played at Southeastern.

Buried in here is JT saying he voided WM because of vote, hence Z on the schedule at all

I have zero love for JT Curtis or the “school” he runs, but voiding a football contract in the spring before a season is significantly different than backing out of a game just a week or so before it’s scheduled to happen.

Best article so far. Zachary coach admits no signed contract. Poor communication.

Last year, Brother Martin played away at St Pauls, St Thomas More, and Ouachita. This year, Brother Martin playing away again at same opponents. Apparently, it's due to increased rent of Nola stadiums.

What teams had brawls last week - their opponents this week could be looking for opponents this week and could fill in for Z or jc

Go Drop a vote for the Prep player of the week. Ethan Couvillon. They even left off a rushing TD in his stats for the game. Also mind you his stats are for about halfway through the 3rd Qtr. The coaches pulled him and put in the back up.

Green Oaks-Southwood and Vidalia-Sicily Island, so that’s not realistic
