Yeah, that's not exactly true. Ruston front 7 was very good, there were a couple of big Warren Easton pass plays on missed coverage but overall both teams have a lot to work on on offense. Both special teams looked rough at times but both looked really good on defense. I think Ruston out rushed Warren Easton like 195-105 but the Warren Easton qb came up big when needed. Ruston missed an xp, had a punt blocked on a mishandle and Warren Easton had multiple punts blocked, one for a td. Kinda sloppy, both teams can improve a lot

Nice little gem last night in Iota.

As heavy underdogs, Iota led favored Iowa 13-0 at the half.

Iowa came out in the second half and took a 14-13 lead. Late in the 4th, Iowa was eating clock and appeared to be going in for another score, but Iota stopped them on downs. Then, Iota drove about 95 yds in a couple of minutes, punched it in with about 20 secs left, and got the 2-pt.

That’s not a good look for Zachary.. I’ll be interested to hear their side on why they felt the conditions for return game in New Orleans weren’t met
—————————————————————————— The Zachary schedule shows this as a Home game for Zachary. Look at their schedule and I don’t think they are ducking anybody. Who knows???

Well that's just weird. It was a scheduled game. Does it count as a forfeit, or is the "dispute" about the venue going to let one team or the other avoid the forfeit?

Non district - no game - no forfeit

The players would rather play than not play.

Reasonable adults could pick from 2 good options that are on hold to host the game. 2 of the better options in the state.

JT is going to spend all week trying to find someone in FL to play, line up logistics, etc. when he could put pride to the side, go whip them at Zachary then never schedule them again.

Well… Curtis is out front trying to control the narrative. They claim they have a contract that stipulates a Friday night game in NO if Curtis could accommodate which they claim they’ve provided.. got no idea I what or if there are outs to that claimed contract but it seems really odd that this is breaking down at this late of a juncture.

I’ve got no idea who’s right or wrong but again I’ll be curious on Zachary’s response

Here's a question I've wanted to ask for years. Do jamborees count? Is that part of your record or is it considered a preseason game. I've never even attended one. Are they full 4 12 minutes or is it like a lightning game?

Dont count on record. Different jamborees through the years have used different formats but usually these days it’s two modified halves played against one team. I think it was two 20 min halves with a running clock for the two I saw. That format allowed for two games with a total of 4 teams playing in one night

Usually a jamboree is two 15 minute halves and doesn’t count in the standings

Doesn’t the LHSAA have an official copy of every football game contract?

Zachary said that the contract explicitly says two home games for Zachary. I guess we will see who has to forfeit.

If Zachary is too scared to show up, it should absolutely go down as a forfeit loss for them.

LHSAA should also hit them with a playoff ban for 1 year.

Exactly the same should happen to Curtis for backing out of west monroe game for not agreeing with a vote. Oh wait, it’s JT! We can’t punish him.

Curtis never “backed out” of a game with West Monroe.

Hopefully the contract was filed with the lhsaa.. my understanding was that contracts between member schools are supposed to be filed with the lhsaa for this exact reason.

It’s not required to file with LHSAA, the schools have to keep a copy on file.
