How well do you guys expect the LCA fans to travel the day after Thanksgiving to Baton Rouge?
Dunham parent here helping to plan logistics of feeding the crowd.
LCA always travels well, expect it to be as big an opposing crowd as a good BR team would bring (It's a 1 hour trip from Lafayette) even right after thanksgiving.
Good luck to your kids, I expect LCA to put up some effort but I just don't think they will be able to hang with Dunham. My son, who played for LCA way back, he was a junior and senior for Coach Trev's first two seasons at LCA, still follows high school football pretty closely and he is very high on your young QB, expects him to make quite a splash when he gets to college.

I thought we had a good crew last night. I did think they missed an illegal forward pass but if that’s your only complaint (I may have been wrong) you better be happy.

You have to admit the regular season was well below their standards. They played very well last night.
50 years ago a team that had a rough regular season but made the playoffs with a 4-5-1 record won the biggest class. peaking at the right time matters.
congrats to the owls....

Someone tell me about Bunkie. Sumner has to play them next Friday, and I don’t think any of us expected them to handle Amite the way they did.

I stil don't understand how the power rankings put them at 18.

To top it off they played up in class against Central away and rescheduled a cancellation makep game at home with St. Aug on short notice.
The final dagger to their power rankings was playing Collegiate BR who could have been the worst team in the state.

We had a good crew from BR last night. The only thing I saw that was different was the clock didn’t stop. Usually we see it stop to set the chains. It just rolled. We were done by 8:52. I wasn’t mad at it.

Very good athletic qb that can beat you with his arm and legs. Two good running backs. 4 receivers that can score from anywhere on the field.
Defense has given up 75 points in 11 games. Very fast.
Special teams not to good.
I don’t think we Bunkie fans expected to do what we did last night although we thought we would win.
Your turn, what about Sumner.

way to beat Opelousas is to jump on them early and get at least a 10 pt. lead.

Entire body has to be across neutral zone

Very good running team with two good backs and a good running QB. Not much of a passing game at all. One of the backs rolled his ankle last night, and I’m not sure what his status will be for Friday.
Defense is solid, special teams are mediocre, as is the case for most high school teams. Sounds like the game may be decided by big plays and turnovers.

Ok, stupid question for you but what is neutral zone.

I hope they bring a ton of people. Makes for a great atmosphere when both sides are full and loud.
I’m a big Trev Faulk fan, I knew him at LSU. He is making a difference in young men’s lives. When he left LCA I was worried he was getting out of coaching. Glad to see him at LRCA.

However, I spent time at West Monroe too and I'm pretty sure Neville will destroy them
I’m pretty sure everyone outside the locker room is of the same opinion. But I’m pretty sure the same people would have said the same thing about the Hahnville game too. But that’s why we play the game. Go Owls!

Same. My son was an average athlete but he did have a good head for the game. He rarely got to play but was always upbeat and encouraging his teammates. Always did whatever the coach asked of him. Trev still remembers us and calls me Mr. Domingue, which still kind of freaks me out. In the LSU-Auburn game in 2019, the camera caught my son shaking his keys near the end of the game. Trev texted my son and me a picture of his TV with the message "look at Big Rob with the TV time". This was 3 or 4 years after my son played for him.
I was sad to see him leave LCA but glad he is still coaching and I will pull for his team when he isn't playing LCA or Acadiana (my high school back in the stone ages

When Jaden Williams is running down the field, there’s no “24” on his helmet for our seed lol…
But that being said, there’s a big difference between good teams in the River/bayou district, and a program like Neville who’s trying to win state. It just represents another hump to get over, and we might not the first time. That’s ok

Yes, he can throw some, but at least you have a chance. If they get the 10 pt. lead, it's almost impossible. Jennings tried to come back and still lost by 11 pts.
Cecilia was down by 13 I believe and came back and nearly won if they would have made their two pt. conversion.
Regardless, I think it will be North De Soto vs. Opelousas in the semi-final and North De Soto will get their revenge. And, then dominate who ever wins the other bracket in the dome.
