If Scotlandville, Byrd and McKinley have to be select schools then so should charter schools like Madison Prep, Karr and Landry-Walker.
FWIW I think the split is ridiculous

All I will say is #5 was electric. I have never seen a player shred WM defense like that especially after half when Arledge makes adjustments. I'm not real wild about that last TD but it is what it is. No matter how good of a team you have, sometimes you just run across a player like #5 and tip your hat to the better team.

Yeah yeah
Kart and Landry walker are not charter schools

JJ what were they chanting?

Karr most definitely is a charter school and so is Landry-Walker

I actually thought the LW players were respectful most of the game. I saw their D lineman helping WM players up multiple times and patting the QB on the head. Their fans left a lot to be desired after we were leaving the dome is all I will say.

For those that did not watch the game here is what happened. WM down by three touchdowns (42-21) turned the ball over on downs on its own 14 with fifteen seconds left. All L-W has to do is take a knee ONE TIME and the game is over and they get their trophy. L-W instead throws for a touchdown, then goes for two to make it 50-21.
I'm a New Orleans boy and I was rooting for Landry-Walker but that was a shitty way to end the ballgame. frick that coach.

Don't say that, the homers will tell you to play to the whistle. The bad thing was that WM had their third string QB in running up the gut to end it and the RB fumbled. WM was really trying to run the clock out without kneeling but it didn't quite work out that way. I have been to most WM games the past five years and have not once seen them run the score up. They typically bring third string in after half and will kneel down so they don't score. I really don't think that last score matters much to the players as they just wanted it over to get their trophy or get the hell out. In the end, its just a game and both teams played as hard as they could and the better team won.

You can't just put schools in select just because they have too much talent... notice no one's calling for Sophie Wright, Clark, and Cohen to be select and they play by the same rules as Karr and LW

Yeah yeah
Karr is a charter , inspire nola charter
Landry walker is not - Orleans parsih school board

This just shows how select is a scam. It boils down to no tram wanting any other team to have an advantage in any way. It's absurd. There is literally no way two schools can be equal and WM has enough things going for them they need to be quiet and take their L. Poor West Monroe, never thought I'd see the day.

I'm not sure who you think from WM is complaining about talent. We didn't get it done this year and for the record, I wish everything was combined with only four classes for the whole state. These things come in cycles although I don't believe WM will ever return to what they were in the late 90's or early 2000's.

I'd be fine if they lined up and went for 2. The fact that they ran a fake fg was really bush league.

Nobody said that but the fact they don't have to abide by attendance zones makes them no different than a private school (except there's no tuition)

Landry-Walker is part of the Algiers Charter School Association.

the LW coach better hope they don't play a better WM team in the future. people are so fricking stupid, sports are cyclical.
