Surprised? About as much as I was when the protests started after Trump won.

after Edna Karr beat Neville the Karr
players tossed their helmets in the air and ran over and started taunting the WM student section which is odd since they were not even playing WM.
Saw that on TV. Thought it was stupid. LW's players didn't do any gestures towards WM's student section when they scored on that side of the field.

"If you don't like it, then stop them."
That has become such a lame, worthless comment. A coach once said that, just to be courteous, but no one believes it. Lemmings like you just spit it out with no thought.
It was a thug, classless move, but we're not allowed to say that about a black coach. It might be considered racist, Heaven forbid.
Coaching in high school should also be about character and building young men. If you believe running up the score on purpose against high school kids is a good thing, you apparently didn't have high school coaches or parents who taught you any better. How sad for you.

So, the LHSAA 5A State Title Non-Select Champ started 0-2; still won 13 games.

Again. frick LANDRY WALKER. 42-21 with 15 seconds left and they throw a TD pass. Enjoy your one year. Payback's a motherfricker.
Again, WM has never lost a game and JJ not whine and b!tch about how unfair it was for WM or how mean the other team was.

Yeah JJ doesn't know the west bank lol... those teams STAY loaded

quote:I am glad to see that we can agree on one point. On that line of thinking, we were taught to ALWAYS give 100 percent and do our best. That encompasses all of practice, all of workouts, all of film study and all of the games. These kids bust their hind parts all year for years for those handful of games that get to enjoy the field of competition.
Coaching in high school should also be about character and building young men.
I find it mighty obtuse of anyone to tell a group of kids to intentionally not do their best when they have put in so much work.
We obviously come from different schools of thought, but I think that taking it easy on another team is MORE INSULTING. Shows that you have no respect for them as competitors.
We just have different perspectives. Just the way it is. I hope the kids keep competing until those clocks say 0:00

Going into the game I was pulling for Landry. I viewed them as a team that has overcome struggles and to finally achieve something they could be proud of.
Instead of going away happy with the championship and taking a knee, they let the pissed off/ bad attitude / the world hates us etc come out on the field. So now they'll be remembered for that more so then a talented team that showed class
I disagree with you Rouge. There is no need to compete with the game in han. This isn't a death match that has to have that kind of ending
And for Monroe, you just gave them material to really get up for the next game.

Wonder what they were saying when WM threw a TD pass up 24 against Rummel with less than 2 minutes left in '09...
Bunch of North LA baby back bitches

So does this make Evangel the M5ASC? (Mythical 5A State Champs) Evangel beat Curtis who beat both LW and WM??

Don't put us all in that group

quote:Not how this works. This board claimed the select division championship a joke a sham because Catholic lost to Zachary in week 2 last year
who would win if they played next week?
So the fact Landry-walker lost to Curtis this year, it means the public 5a championship is a joke and a sham participation trophy

Turnabout is fair play,
That Rummel game was not the only time WM did that against a no school
Funny how short their memories are

Short memory there mr rebel
Does the last possession of the Rummel game come to mind, not so funny when the shoe is on the other foot.
And I could go on but I won't . Come in JJ you are better than that dude

I like your rationale.
Does that mean the Private D1 championship is a joke and a sham participation trophy??....because the public 4A runner up beat the shite out of Evangel in week 2.

What I do know is that you have many kids on those teams who have worked their tails off. To those depth players, a meaningful snap is more productive to their football development than taking a knee.
