I know this won't get much love here, but that might actually be the most shocking of all. Even if you went into the coma right before that season started.

Leicester City winning and Kobe death, can't think of anything more surprising than those.

The Lions actually having competent ownership and making a good GM/HC here's with Holmes and Campbell. Even getting to an NFC CG.

Big time expansion of SEC and B10. Primarily with the former Pac schools.

College athletes now get paid, and it's totally ok and normal.
College athletes can now transfer to whatever school as they want as many times as they want with zero restrictions.
LSU has had 2 Heisman winning quarterbacks
The Pac 12 has ceased to exist.

Ed Orgeron coached the GOAT CFB
NIL in CFB
MLB having a DH in both leagues, then allowing the Astros and Dodgers to do what they did/are doing. MLB has been unwatchable for decades, just like the NBA, but now they are taking up a notch.
The NFL becoming what it is now, which is another unwatchable, rigged product run by gambling.
And the most important one...

Men being allowed to compete against women in women's sports, complete with taking scholarships from them.....while the feminist movement cheers it on.

The new NFL kickoff rule. First time seeing it in a live game, I would suspect I’m back in a coma.

I think if most people were being open minded and honest, one would have to say in the world of college athletics it's the ascension of Mizzou.

We're back baby!!

MIZ.......

Three pages and no mention of Vanderbilt beating #1 Alabama?

As many others have said, Ed O going undefeated and LSU having two Heisman winning QBs would be pretty WTF. Also the Lions and the Timberwolves playing for conference titles in the same year.

The Cowboys still haven't won shite and now they're pretending to flirt with hiring Deion, who's the coach at Colorado and his son is gonna be a top 5 pick.

As a Cowboys fan, I would have woken up out of the 10 year coma and immediately said "We still haven't won crap have we? And we're probably trying to hire some crap coach aren't we?"

Ed freaking Orgeron putting together the greatest team of all time. Going undefeated and winning the national championship with a Heisman trophy winning QB. And the stars of that team being perennial all pros in the NFL. And President Donald J Trump was in attendance for both the NC and game of the century 2 in Tuscaloosa.

LSU QB winning a 2nd Heisman trophy 4 years later, and would have won another NC if LSU played any semblance of a defense.

LSU hiring Kim mf'n Mulkey, who wins an NC in her second year.

LSU hiring Jay Johnson who puts together, quite possibly, the greatest College baseball team ever, full of legendary iconic players.

Cubs winning a WS

Rangers winning a WS

Kobe dies in a helicopter crash.

Lebron James likes to be on the business end of freak offs at Diddy parties.

The Redskins are in the NFC championship game with a rookie Jayden Daniels, leaving the Cowboys as the only NFC team not to make it in 30 years. Luckily, Prime will lead us back to glory soon enough.

The World Cup is back in the US in 2026. Can't wait to see the Dallas/Houston draw.
