Also Lebron is extremely underrated at basketball by 90% of the MSB.

It's amazing how triggered this board is by every single thing LeBron does.

He could say the sky is blue and there would be 50 posts bitching about it.

Obviously he's right. But also isn't that basically the same thing that got Lauri Loughlin locked up.

No rush

His son can go all 4 years in college

Lebron is going to be a 28/8/6 guy for at least 5 more years

Bronny is the most overhyped high school prospect ever. so much endorsement money will end up his way instead of far more talented kids that actually deserve/need it.

I remember Jordan's two sons got lots of hype and predictably flamed out badly....the same will happen to this kid.

I could see someone like Oats or Calipari politely telling Lebron to frick off.

And their AD would overrule them for the benefits of having Bronny on campus

College athletics is a business

So does any dad who has a son that can play.

Let’s define play… what rank prospect do you have to be to make that phone call and get on whatever one of 350ish D1 teams you want?

I’m sure Lebron could have.

I don’t really remember MJ’s kids being hyped up that much. Neither had any big time school offers iirc.

You guys are hilarious. Some newspaper asks him questions directly related to this topic and you guys are saying he can’t shut up.

Dude how in the hell could that comment ever possibly be beneficial for his son?

Landscape has changed. James is a top 50-100 recruit, with 7M IG followers and a huge trustfund. He is going to make 8 digits in NIL money. No school in the country would turn him down, if he asked. It's program changing. School will generate absurd attention and publicity. James is stating the obvious.

I do wonder why he needs a scholarship. He can prefer walkon anywhere and the school can give it another top player. If I'm James JR, I pick a school and sponsor 4-5 others to join me. Stack the deck. Imagine he goes to UNLV with 5 top 25 freshman. He can easily pull 20-30M for one season there. So many possibilities..

Imagine being the head coach if/when Lebron and his son were to be on the same team. What a shitshow that would be.

Lebron 100% pays BleacherReport and the ESPN social medias to post them every single day. It's hilarious.

they got nowhere near as much hype as bronny, but they were definitely getting hyped up relative to that time. Jeff Jordan ended up at Illinois which was a pretty good team back then that was contending for final fours.

I thought Lebron was saying that his son was good enough to play for any school in the country. And that is why all he would have to do is pick up the phone and call. Hence him saying “He’s good enough.”

He was not saying they will take his son just because he is Lebron James son, even though they would. He doesn’t see it that way.

I also think his son is overrated, but Lebron thinks his son is good and could play anywhere based on his talent, not being his son, regardless of being true.

In the end, with all the chaos the Lebron crew brings, the team won't win. It's not worth the hassle.

I remember watching them play a nationally televised high school game. They were nationally ranked. They went over to Indiana to play against Eric Gordon's team and got their asses kicked. Gordon outscored their entire team by himself, IIRC.

The Athletic released a piece a few months ago where anonymous scouts were saying that Bronny is not good enough to be a one and done player, so that'll be interesting.
